Two Gundam Wing Manga Get New Collector’s Editions

Japanese publisher Gakken has announced the release of two special edition manga volumes that expand the lore of the Gundam Wing series.
The “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Blind Target Collector’s Edition” and “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Episode Zero Collector’s Edition” manga offer fans a deeper look into the lives of their favorite mecha pilots.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing originally aired in 1995 and quickly became a massive international phenomenon, introducing an entire generation of overseas viewers to the sprawling science fiction franchise.

The series follows five young operatives sent to Earth with highly advanced mobile suits to wage a guerrilla war against a tyrannical planetary alliance.

These newly printed collector’s editions give readers the chance to explore crucial story elements that fall outside the main television anime.

Both volumes feature beautiful, newly drawn cover illustrations created specifically for this release by the respective artists.
Let’s take a look at each volume in more detail!
- Collector’s Edition Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Blind Target

This volume features artwork by Sakura Asagi and a script written by Akemi Omode.

It follows Heero Yuy and the other pilots as they confront a new faction threatening the fragile peace they fought so hard to establish.
- Collector’s Edition Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Episode Zero
