My Hero Academia’s New Official Roguelite Game UNITED SURVIVAL Launches Worldwide
A new My Hero Academia game has officially launched worldwide, giving fans a free-to-play action experience built around fast battles, three-character teams and constantly changing roguelite runs.
Titled “My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL,” the game is developed by KLab in partnership with gumi and is based directly on the long-running anime adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi’s hit manga.
My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya, better known as Deku, in a world where most people possess superhuman abilities called Quirks, with the aspiring hero joining U.A. High School as he learns to use One For All and confront increasingly dangerous villains.
UNITED SURVIVAL takes the franchise in a different direction from its recent fighting games, using top-down roguelite action where players strengthen their characters and Quirks during each run before taking on large groups of enemies.
Players build squads of three heroes or villains, allowing different Quirks to be combined while powerful team attacks can bring multiple characters together for original finishing moves.
The upgrade choices available during a run can change how a team develops each time, encouraging different character combinations and ability builds rather than following the same progression through every battle.
Outside individual runs, characters can be strengthened using experience and equipment earned through play, while collectible “Collections” based on memorable scenes from the anime can be equipped to provide additional bonuses.
The game also includes material created specifically for UNITED SURVIVAL, with original story content appearing alongside adaptations of events from the anime and special moves that have not previously appeared in the series.
Interest was already high before release, with global pre-registrations surpassing 700,000 ahead of launch and unlocking additional rewards including Hero Stones and character-specific Heavy Dumbbells for players.
Earlier milestones also included an Enlist Ticket allowing players to choose between SR versions of Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo or Shoto Todoroki, while further registration goals introduced additional progression items and collectible rewards.
My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL launched on August 6, 2026, as a free-to-play game with optional in-game purchases and is available worldwide outside Mainland China.
The game is available through the App Store and Google Play alongside a Windows PC version, with mobile support beginning at iOS 15 and Android 9, while the PC release requires Windows 11 or later.
