Six Sonic Fan-Favorites Inspire New Official Fashion Collab Collection
Image by Charlotte DavisSonic the Hedgehog is getting a new fashion collaboration with Japanese apparel brand Favorite, with a collection of character-inspired jackets and hoodies set to open for pre-orders.
The new range turns the appearance and personality of six different characters into wearable outerwear, using familiar colors, costume details and visual references from across the Sonic series.

The collaboration arrives during Sonic’s 35th anniversary year, marking more than three decades since the original Sonic the Hedgehog launched in 1991 and established the character as Sega’s mascot.

Favorite specializes in fashion inspired by anime, manga and games, with its collections often transforming recognizable character traits and fictional worlds into clothing that can still work as everyday apparel.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Silver and the Werehog each receive their own design, giving the collection a mix of familiar series icons and one of Sonic’s more memorable transformations.

The “Sonic 2-Way Sleeve Double-Knit Hoodie,” priced at ¥25,300 (approx. $159 USD / £117 GBP), uses removable zippered sleeves that allow it to switch between long-sleeve and short-sleeve configurations.

Gold ring-inspired zipper pulls reference one of the most recognizable elements from the games, while a large Sonic silhouette appears across the back and a removable snap-fastened belt runs around the hem.

The “Tails Cape Poncho Hoodie Jacket,” priced at ¥24,200 (approx. $152 USD / £112 GBP), gives Tails a loose cape-style design that can be layered over other clothing.

His oversized ears are recreated directly on the hood, while printed details along the neck ties reference the two tails that have defined his appearance since his debut.

The “Knuckles Volume-Sleeve Drawstring Hoodie Jacket,” priced at ¥25,300 (approx. $159 USD / £117 GBP), uses adjustable drawcords around the sleeves to create a bulkier arm shape inspired by Knuckles’ powerful build.

Four front pockets add plenty of practical storage, while the crescent-shaped marking from Knuckles’ chest is recreated across the front of the jacket.

The “Shadow Drawstring Hooded Blouson,” priced at ¥25,300 (approx. $159 USD / £117 GBP), builds its look around Shadow’s familiar black and red coloring, including a red-lined hood paired with a raised collar.

A large Shadow silhouette covers the back, while red faux-leather details and D-ring tags appear around the pockets and removable yellow bands on the arms reference another recognizable part of his design.

Drawcords around the hem allow the wearer to change the silhouette, adding another level of customization to the Shadow-inspired look.

The “Silver Fur-Trim Drawstring Hooded Blouson,” priced at ¥25,300 (approx. $159 USD / £117 GBP), uses a much lighter palette inspired by Silver’s white and pale coloring.

Its lined hood includes removable fur, while a large Silver silhouette appears across the back and reflective PVC around the pockets gives the jacket a brighter futuristic finish.

The “Werehog Midnight 2-Way Sleeve Monster Vest Jacket,” priced at ¥29,700 (approx. $186 USD / £137 GBP), is the boldest piece in the collection and takes its inspiration from Sonic’s transformed appearance in Sonic Unleashed.

Its sleeves can be removed completely so the jacket can also be worn as a vest, while quilted padding inside the arms recreates the oversized proportions of the Werehog’s hands.

Additional zippers allow the sleeves to be extended, and a drawcord around the hem gives fans another way to adjust the shape of the jacket.

Pre-orders for all six Sonic the Hedgehog x Favorite items will open through Favorite’s official online store on August 28 at 5:00 PM JST and remain available until September 28 at 11:59 AM JST.
