Tokyo Game Show 2026 Unveils $22,000 Solid Gold Collector’s Edition Ticket

Tokyo Game Show 2026 is celebrating its 30th anniversary by unveiling an extraordinary collector’s edition ticket that costs over $22,000.
Organized by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association, Tokyo Game Show remains one of the world’s biggest gaming events, bringing together major publishers, developers, hardware companies, indie creators and fans for new game reveals, hands-on demos and industry networking.

The limited made-to-order 30th Anniversary Ticket, which includes an exclusive set of pure gold commemorative medals, has been created as the ultimate keepsake for the milestone event, combining event access with a luxury collectible aimed at dedicated gaming enthusiasts and collectors.
Each package includes admission tickets for all three public days together with a limited-edition set of six K24 pure gold medals featuring the Tokyo Game Show 30th Anniversary logo alongside other characters from legendary gaming franchises including Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man.

The medals are presented in a premium display frame personalized with the purchaser’s name and an individual serial number, making every set unique.
The anniversary ticket forms part of Tokyo Game Show’s biggest edition yet, with the 2026 event expanding to five days for the first time in its history.

As of early July, organizers have confirmed 759 exhibitors, including 484 from Japan and 275 from overseas, spread across an impressive 3,946 booths.
Companies from 51 countries and regions will participate, exceeding last year’s international representation and reinforcing Tokyo Game Show’s position as one of the gaming industry’s largest global events.

Visitors can expect showcases covering console, PC and mobile games, alongside esports, indie titles, AR and VR experiences, gaming hardware, furniture and business-focused technologies.
This year’s main visual has once again been created by illustrator Zashikiwarashi, who also produced the artwork for Tokyo Game Show 2025.

The new illustration celebrates the event’s first-ever five-day schedule through five themed artworks showing the teaser character enjoying different experiences throughout the show.
According to Zashikiwarashi, the artwork was designed to capture the variety of experiences available at Tokyo Game Show while also encouraging newcomers to discover the event for themselves.
Public admission will take place from September 19 through September 21, 2026, with elementary school-aged children and younger admitted free under standard entry arrangements.

Alongside the anniversary edition, Tokyo Game Show is introducing a new Premium Ticket priced at ¥30,000 (approx. $204 USD / £150 GBP), offering admission across all three public days, a dedicated pass, access to the exclusive Energy Spot lounge, priority entry and original merchandise.

Fast Tickets priced at ¥6,000 (approx. $41 USD / £30 GBP) for each public day will also return, providing priority entry and exclusive event goods.

Premium and Fast Ticket applications will be available through a lottery running from July 11 at 12:00 p.m. until July 15 at 11:59 p.m., before switching to first-come, first-served sales beginning July 20.
Standard one-day tickets priced at ¥3,000 (approx. $20 USD / £15 GBP) and special discount tickets priced at ¥1,500 (approx. $10 USD / £8 GBP) will also become available from July 20, with all tickets issued as date-specific admission and no same-day ticket sales planned at the venue.

Premium and Fast Tickets will be sold through Lawson Ticket, while standard admission tickets will also be available through Asoview!, Stagecrowd, Ticket Pia, JRE MALL, CN Playguide, Seven Ticket, eplus, TicketMe and Animate.
International public admission tickets will be available through Trip.com, while the exclusive 30th Anniversary Ticket will be sold domestically through Asoview! only.

Travel package options that include Fast Tickets will also be offered, including hotel packages for residents in Japan, highway bus plans and selected international tour packages.
Separate paid cosplay registration will be introduced at a later date, with additional information set to be announced through the event’s official social media channels.

Business Days will be held on September 17 and 18, offering approved industry professionals dedicated networking opportunities, with Business Day Advance Registration priced at ¥16,500 (approx. $112 USD / £83 GBP), the Business Day Gold Pass at ¥44,000 (approx. $299 USD / £220 GBP) and the Business Day Black Pass at ¥110,000 (approx. $748 USD / £550 GBP).
