Bandai has officially announced a re-release for an exclusive Gelgoog Cannon Gunpla kit that recreates one of its most recognizable MSV configurations.

The returning “MG 1/100 MS-14C Gelgoog Cannon (MSV Color)” combines the heavily armed fire-support version of the Gelgoog with the blue-gray and white color scheme associated with its classic Mobile Suit Variation appearance.

The Gelgoog Cannon was introduced through Mobile Suit Variation, the influential series of supplementary designs that expanded the machines and military history surrounding the original Mobile Suit Gundam beyond those that appeared directly in the anime.

Developed from the Gelgoog late in the One Year War, the MS-14C was configured for longer-range support and replaced the standard machine’s backpack with equipment built around its prominent beam cannon.

This Master Grade version uses the MG Gelgoog Ver.2.0 as its foundation, retaining the updated proportions, layered armor construction, and extensive articulation of that kit while adding the parts needed to recreate the Cannon configuration.

A dedicated head helps separate the MS-14C from a standard Gelgoog, while the large cannon extending over its right shoulder immediately gives the completed model a more heavily armed appearance.

Its equipment is expanded further by a three-tube missile launcher and small buckler shield fitted to the forearms, with dedicated connecting joints allowing both pieces to be attached or removed from the Ver.2.0 body.

Those parts are joined by the standard Gelgoog’s Beam Rifle, Beam Naginata and large shield, giving the kit a broad selection of weapons for displaying it either as a dedicated support machine or in more conventional Gelgoog poses.

The beam cannon, missile launcher, and buckler shield use parts previously developed for the earlier MG Gelgoog Cannon based on Johnny Ridden’s machine rather than newly molded weapon components, with new connection pieces adapting them to the newer Ver.2.0 body.

Bandai has also recreated the characteristic layered construction of the Gelgoog’s armor, while the underlying articulation allows the bulky Mobile Suit to take more dynamic poses despite the additional cannon equipment mounted across its body.

The MSV color scheme is another major part of this particular release, replacing the more familiar Gelgoog colors with a predominantly blue-gray and white appearance that closely follows the classic variation artwork.

Original markings are included as water-transfer decals, adding further detail across the large armor surfaces and helping reinforce the older MSV-inspired appearance once the model is complete.

The Gelgoog Cannon (MSV Color)’s latest re-release arrives alongside the HG 1/144 Hi-Zack Custom (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.), with Bandai bringing both previously released Gunpla back into production during the same September 2026 reissue wave.

A corresponding Premium Bandai US re-release has not yet been announced, although Japanese Premium Bandai Gunpla reissues frequently receive separate US listings in the following days or weeks, so an opportunity for American builders may follow.

The Japanese re-release of the kit is scheduled to ship in February 2027, with any corresponding US re-release expected to ship around one to two months after this.
