Sins Of Kujo Live-Action Series Unveils Main Trailer and Visual

Netflix Japan has released a primary trailer and promotional visual for its upcoming live-action adaptation of the legal drama manga Sins of Kujo, also known in Japan as Kujo no Taizai.

The series is scheduled to begin streaming on Netflix for audiences worldwide on April 2, 2026.

The 10-episode production is based on the original manga by Shohei Manabe, who is also the author of the well-known series Ushijima the Loan Shark.

Serialization for the Sins of Kujo manga began in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits in October 2020 and has since reached 15 collected volumes with over four million copies in print.

Yuya Yagira, recognized for his role as Toshiro Hijikata in the live-action Gintama films, stars as the protagonist and unconventional lawyer Kujo Kujo.

Hokuto Matsumura, a member of the idol group SixTONES, joins the cast as Kujo’s associate lawyer, Shinji Karasuma.

The supporting cast features a variety of notable actors including Elaiza Ikeda, Keita Machida, Takuma Otoo, Tsuyoshi Muro, Takenori Goto, Kaito Yoshimura, Rintaro Mizusawa, Shunsuke Tanaka, and Kodai Kurosaki.

The narrative follows Kujo as he defends individuals from the darker fringes of society, including thugs and ex-convicts, using methods that often ignore standard legal ethics.

As the story progresses, the elite lawyer Karasuma must navigate his professional shock at Kujo’s style while deciding if his partner is a wicked man or a lawyer with unique convictions.

This crime drama aims to challenge viewers’ perceptions of law and morality through cases that reflect a gritty social underbelly.
