Bandai Officially Reveals 2 New GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT HG Gunpla Kits

The “HG 1/144 Bau Bahlam” and “HG 1/144 Calice” expand the game’s Gunpla lineup beyond protagonist machine Gundam Helix, with both kits receiving their first prototype displays at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show.

GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT takes place within the new After Apocalypse timeline and forms one half of Gundam’s wider RG Project alongside the upcoming anime Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO.

The game is set around a century after the anime in A.A. 145 and follows RE-X, pilot of the Gundam Helix, as he fights alongside his Haro partner Vee against the mysterious silicon-based lifeforms known as the Apocalypse.

Bau Bahlam and Calice were first unveiled in September as two of the first named Mobile Suits shown beyond Gundam Helix, revealing more of the different factions and mechanical styles that will appear throughout the game.

The BMP4/6 Bau Bahlam is piloted by Big Paul, leader of the Mars-based sand pirate group Red Grit, which hunts the Apocalypse and raids wealthy transports to redistribute supplies among people living on Mars.

Its design uses bulky sand-colored armor, a mono-eye head and large red shoulder sections, with an enormous chainsaw-style physical sword giving the machine a much heavier appearance than the comparatively streamlined Gundam Helix.

The newly displayed HG prototype recreates that rougher look with dense panel lines, exposed piping, thruster details, and multiple layers of armor molded throughout its 1/144-scale body.

Calice takes a very different approach, with the TRA122E/B Mobile Suit piloted by Elaine Galath, the 19th-ranked Knight Commander of the Trezor Council and representative of its Mobile Suit forces.

Its silver-white armor, pointed head, and huge lance give Calice an intentionally knight-like appearance, matching the status of its pilot while separating it visually from both Bau Bahlam and Gundam Helix.

Bandai’s prototype shows the lance extending considerably beyond the body of the Mobile Suit, alongside layered armor, exposed mechanical details, and a mono-eye camera worked into its narrow head design.

Both kits feature considerably more surface detailing than many traditional High Grade releases, reflecting the heavily mechanical appearance used across GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT’s newly designed Mobile Suits.

Bau Bahlam and Calice follow Bandai’s earlier announcement of two Gundam Helix kits, including a standard HG release and an exclusive “Earth Blue” version included with the game’s Collector’s Edition.

The standard “HG 1/144 Gundam Helix” is scheduled to arrive in January 2027, giving builders the protagonist machine shortly before Bau Bahlam and Calice expand the physical lineup the following month.

Both the “HG 1/144 Bau Bahlam” and “HG 1/144 Calice” are scheduled for general retail release in February 2027, with each priced at ¥3,080 (approximately $20 / £15).

GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT itself will launch worldwide on March 5, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, with Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO set to begin its Japanese television broadcast one month later in April.
