Good Smile Reveals First Look at Hatsune Miku’s New GLOOMY Bear Collab Figure
Image by James RichardsonGood Smile Company has officially revealed the first painted prototype for a new Hatsune Miku figure based on her collaboration with GLOOMY.
The “POP UP PARADE SP Hatsune Miku GLOOMY Ver.” transforms Miku with a pink bear-inspired appearance that incorporates several of GLOOMY’s defining features directly into her clothes, hair and accessories.
The figure was displayed at Wonder Festival 2026 Shanghai, which is taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from October 3 through October 4.

“GLOOMY meets Hatsune Miku” was first announced in January 2026 with completely new collaboration artwork by illustrator LAM, pairing the virtual singer with Mori Chack’s mischievous pink bear across merchandise and a series of pop-up events.

Created by Mori Chack in 2000, GLOOMY is the enormous pet bear of a boy named Pity, combining an intentionally cute pink appearance with a violent streak that frequently leaves his owner injured after their attempts to play together.

That contrast between cute and dangerous carries directly into Miku’s collaboration design, replacing much of her usual futuristic styling with a predominantly pink outfit inspired by the bear.
A pair of small bear ears sits atop her head, while a leather-strapped muzzle covers the lower half of her face and gives the otherwise colorful costume a much sharper edge.

Her long twin-tails receive the biggest transformation, with their ends reshaped into enormous claws that echo GLOOMY’s oversized paws.
The claw styling extends the collaboration theme into one of Miku’s most defining features, allowing the GLOOMY influence to shape her silhouette instead of being limited to printed logos or separate accessories.
The painted prototype gives the first full look at how Good Smile has translated LAM’s original collaboration artwork into three dimensions and also reveals that a miniature GLOOMY figure will be included, allowing the pink bear to be positioned directly in front of Miku.

Good Smile is producing the new Hatsune Miku x GLOOMY collab figure as part of POP UP PARADE SP rather than the standard POP UP PARADE range.

The SP branch is reserved for more elaborate releases that push beyond the usual POP UP PARADE format, with Good Smile placing greater emphasis on sculpting, paintwork and other special features.
Miku has already received several major POP UP PARADE releases during 2026, with pre-orders recently opening for two contrasting DECO*27-inspired designs, “DecoMiku Lightness” and “DecoMiku Darkness,” in the larger L Size range.

LAM has also played an increasingly prominent role in Miku’s recent official artwork, having created the completely new visual for Hatsune Miku V6 that Good Smile has since adapted into its own Nendoroid.

That smaller release recreates the same pink outfit, bear ears, strapped muzzle and claw-inspired twin-tails in the approximately 10 cm-tall proportions of the popular Nendoroid line.
Good Smile Company has confirmed that both GLOOMY Hatsune Miku figures are currently in production, although the price, pre-order date, release window and final dimensions of either have yet to be announced.
