Square Enix has officially opened US pre-orders for six Final Fantasy X plush toys first revealed as part of the RPG’s 25th anniversary celebrations earlier this year.

Jecht, Rikku, Auron, Kimahri Ronso, Lulu and Wakka are all included in the new wave, which adds most of the game’s central party alongside one of its most important supporting characters.

Square Enix originally revealed the plush collection in April as part of the first major wave of Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary merchandise, and each plush uses the same stylized proportions and large two-tone embroidered eyes, with individual clothing, hairstyles, and other recognizable features adapted from the characters’ original in-game appearances.

Final Fantasy X originally launched for PlayStation 2 on July 19, 2001 and follows Tidus, a star blitzball player who is transported to the world of Spira after his home city of Zanarkand is destroyed by the colossal creature known as Sin.

He eventually joins summoner Yuna on her pilgrimage to defeat Sin, travelling alongside a group of guardians that includes Wakka, Lulu, Kimahri, Auron and Rikku.

The six new US plushes therefore cover almost the entire supporting party, alongside Jecht, Tidus’ father and a former guardian of High Summoner Braska whose story becomes increasingly important as the group travels across Spira.

Rikku’s plush recreates the energetic Al Bhed guardian in her iconic outfit, complete with the bright colors and accessories used throughout the original game.

Auron receives the same softer treatment without losing the veteran guardian’s recognizable appearance, translating his long red coat, sunglasses, and swept-back hairstyle into the compact plush format.

Kimahri Ronso keeps the blue coloring, armor, and prominent horn of Yuna’s fiercely protective Ronso guardian, with the exaggerated proportions giving him a much cuter appearance than his imposing in-game model.

Lulu is represented in her signature black outfit, with the plush retaining the dark color scheme and visual details that distinguish the party’s Black Mage.

Wakka’s version recreates the Besaid Aurochs captain and guardian in his brightly colored outfit, including his tall orange hairstyle and familiar headband.

Jecht rounds out the wave with a plush that adapts the blitzball star’s dark outfit, headband, and heavily tattooed appearance into the same style used across the collection.

All six plushes credit original Final Fantasy X character designer Tetsuya Nomura and follow the same overall visual approach, allowing the characters to be displayed together as a matching set.

The start of pre-orders for this latest wave of merchandise arrives during an increasingly busy period for Final Fantasy X’s 25th anniversary celebrations, which have significantly expanded over the last few months.
