Shoyo Hinata from Haikyu!! gets new jumbo sized Nendoroid figure
Good Smile Company has announced the upcoming release of a new jumbo sized Nendoroid of Shoyo Hinata from Haikyu!!.
“Nendoroid Large Shoyo Hinata” is one of two new figures that will be the first in what appears to be a new line of larger than normal Nendoroids.
The other figure currently announced in the new range is “Nendoroid Large Hatsune Miku”, which will be released alongside the new Hinata Nendoroid Large at select events.
This larger-scale rendition of the character marks a new offering in the extensive Nendoroid line, known for its stylized, articulated figures.
Shoyo Hinata is the energetic and determined protagonist of Haikyu!!, a series that has garnered a significant global following for its dynamic portrayal of high school volleyball, character development, and inspiring themes of teamwork and perseverance.
Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid series typically features characters with interchangeable faces and body parts, allowing for various poses and expressions, but this new “Large” format indicates a different approach to the figure line’s normal sizing.
The “Nendoroid Large Shoyo Hinata” figure stands approximately 20cm in height, significantly larger than the standard Nendoroid figures which typically measure around 10cm.
Despite the increased size, the figure maintains posable arms and legs, allowing collectors to recreate dynamic scenes and expressions.
It will also come with a dedicated support stand and base for display.
The packaging is designed with large windows on the front, side, and back, providing a clear view of the figure inside.
The figure will be available through several limited sales events:
- A quantity-limited pre-sale will take place at FAN PARK on June 7th and June 8th, 2025.
- A quantity-limited sale will also occur at Smile Fes 2025 on June 14th, 2025.
- Finally, a quantity-limited sale will be held at the Japanese Good Smile Company Official Shop starting August 1st, 2025.
With the sales locations of this new large size Nendoroid being limited to physical locations within Japan, as well as the Japanese Good Smile Company online store, demand is expected to be high as collectors try and pick up the limited edition figure.
It is however quite possible that the new “Nendoroid Large Shoyo Hinata” will get a general sale at a later date, as this quite frequently occurs with limited sales items offered by Good Smile Company.
If this particular figure is something that you just have to have in your collection, you’d likely be best off waiting for the general release than rushing to pay higher prices in the second hand/resale market.
