Sanrio’s most popular characters appear in adorable new cake collection

Japanese confectionery chain Ginza Cozy Corner has announced its first-ever collaboration with the beloved Sanrio Characters.
The new partnership will feature a special, limited-time nine-piece collection of petit cakes, with each cake themed around a different popular character.

The collection is built around a charming story where the Sanrio characters visit a Ginza Cozy Corner store.

In this narrative, Hello Kitty and Hangyodon are dressed as store clerks, Cinnamoroll is a pastry chef, and other characters like Keroppi are happy customers.

This story is reflected in the design of the collection’s special, custom-designed box.

The nine different petit cakes are each designed to represent a character’s personality and image through a unique flavor combination.

The full lineup of the “Sanrio Characters Sweets Collection” is as follows:
- Hangyodon: A soda-flavored whipped cream cake.

- Hello Kitty: An apple custard cream tart.

- Cinnamoroll: A yogurt-flavored whipped cream roll cake.

- Kuromi: A cocoa tart with a blueberry-flavored glacé and blueberry cream.

- My Melody: A tart with a strawberry-flavored glacé and condensed milk whipped cream.

- Keroppi: A cake with condensed milk whipped cream and a melon-flavored glacé.

- Pompompurin: A roll cake with pudding-flavored cream and caramel whipped cream.

- Little Twin Stars: A soda and peach flavored jelly dessert.

- Pochacco: A cocoa tart with condensed milk cream and caramel cream.

As a special bonus, customers who purchase the nine-piece collection will also receive an exclusive “Sanrio Characters Sweets Newspaper” leaflet, which details the flavors and design points of each cake.

The petit cake collection is priced at ¥3,564 (approx. $24 USD/£18 GBP).

It will be available for purchase at Ginza Cozy Corner locations across Japan.

The in-store sales are scheduled to begin on Friday, the 29th of August, and will run until the 30th of September, 2025.
A “click-and-collect” style online reservation period will also be held, beginning on Monday, the 25th of August, 2025.
