HiBy Reveals New Cyberpunk 2077 Headset and External Sound Card Collection Inspired by V, Johnny Silverhand and Arasaka
Image by Charlotte DavisAudio brand HiBy Digital has revealed a new Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration that turns three very different paths through Night City into a collection of themed gaming audio gear.
The newly unveiled range is built around V, Johnny Silverhand’s rebellious rocker lifestyle, and the corporate world of Arasaka, allowing fans to choose between designs representing three of the most recognizable identities associated with CD Projekt RED’s futuristic RPG.
Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in the sprawling dystopian metropolis of Night City, where mercenary V becomes entangled with the digital consciousness of legendary rocker and anti-corporate terrorist Johnny Silverhand after a heist goes disastrously wrong.
Arasaka sits at the opposite end of that relationship as one of the world’s most powerful megacorporations, giving HiBy plenty of contrasting visual material to draw from across the three versions.
The collaboration introduces two new devices under the names “PULSE” and “GRID,” consisting of a headset and external sound card respectively.
Both are being presented in V Edition, SAMURAI Edition and ARASAKA Edition variants, with each designed around a different route through the world of Cyberpunk 2077 rather than simply applying the same game logo to identical hardware.
The V Edition naturally represents the game’s customizable protagonist, while the SAMURAI version draws on Johnny Silverhand and the band he once fronted before becoming one of Night City’s most infamous anti-Arasaka figures.
The ARASAKA Edition instead embraces the megacorporation that dominates much of Cyberpunk 2077’s story, offering a deliberately more corporate alternative to the mercenary and rocker-inspired versions.
HiBy is also teasing that the three revealed identities may not represent the complete collection, with promotional material asking fans “who told you there are only three?” and showing an additional mystery limited edition of the PULSE headset that has yet to be properly unveiled.
Full technical specifications for PULSE and GRID have not yet been announced, so details including the headset’s drivers, connectivity and microphone setup, along with the sound card’s inputs, outputs and supported audio formats, remain under wraps.
HiBy is already well established in the audio enthusiast market, producing portable music players, earphones, headphone amplifiers and desktop audio equipment ranging from relatively affordable entry-level hardware through to considerably more expensive audiophile products.
Licensed releases are also becoming a growing part of its catalog, with HiBy Digital currently offering a Hatsune Miku collaboration built around a special M500 digital audio player and matching YUME in-ear monitors.
The Cyberpunk partnership also fits into a growing range of real-world technology inspired by Night City, following the limited VITURE x Cyberpunk 2077 XR glasses that reworked the company’s wearable display technology with styling influenced by the game’s Kiroshi Optics cyberware.
Beyond technology, CD Projekt RED has continued expanding Cyberpunk into other physical products and collectibles, including an official Cyberpunk Trading Card Game from WeirdCo featuring characters and equipment from both Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has also generated a steady stream of new figures, with recent releases including Kotobukiya’s elaborate 1/7 scale Lucy figure built around a recreation of her Night City apartment and Good Smile Company’s returning POP UP PARADE Lucy L Size figure.
HiBy has so far described the Cyberpunk 2077 PULSE headset and GRID external sound card as “Coming Soon,” with pricing, detailed specifications, ordering information, and a release date still to be revealed.
When more information arrives, it will likely also reveal exactly what HiBy is hiding behind the teased PULSE limited edition, potentially expanding the collaboration beyond the three V, SAMURAI, and ARASAKA designs already shown.
