Sanrio gets ready to announce fan poll results with adorable new “award ceremony” merch collection
Sanrio has revealed a charming new merchandise line featuring some of their most popular characters.
This special collection, titled “Everyone’s the Star!,” captures the anticipation and excitement surrounding the upcoming announcement of the 2025 Sanrio Character Awards voting results, depicting the characters in outfits befitting of an award ceremony.
Sanrio’s annual Character Awards are a highly anticipated event for fans worldwide, where millions cast votes for their favorite character.
The new “Everyone’s the Star!” series leans into that excitement, portraying characters dressed in their finest outfits with tiaras and crowns, surrounded by clouds and flowers, as if eagerly awaiting their moment in the spotlight.
The product lineup features a wide array of Sanrio characters, including fan-favorites like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, and Pochacco.
What makes this collection special is it also includes merchandise for some of Sanrio’s lesser seen characters such as Wish me mell, KIRIMI-chan and Hanamaruobake.

The collection will first launch at the Sanrio NISHIGINZA store on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025.
Following this, it will become available at Sanrio directly managed stores, department store Sanrio corners, the official Sanrio online shop, and other select locations starting Wednesday, June 18th, 2025.
Finally, some stores in Kyushu, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, and Okinawa prefectures will begin sales on Thursday, June 19th, 2025.
