MAPPA to Produce Persona 4 Revival’s Anime Cutscenes

ATLUS has confirmed that acclaimed animation studio MAPPA will produce the anime cutscenes for the upcoming RPG remake Persona 4 Revival.
Persona 4 first launched in 2008 before receiving the expanded Persona 4 Golden edition, becoming one of the most celebrated entries in the long-running RPG franchise thanks to its blend of school life, supernatural mystery and turn-based combat set in the rural town of Inaba.

MAPPA, founded in 2011, has earned an international reputation for producing visually striking anime series including Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Hell’s Paradise and the second season of Granblue Fantasy: The Animation.

News of the collaboration has quickly generated excitement amongst fans, with many praising the choice of studio and expressing anticipation about seeing Persona 4 Revival’s story brought to life with MAPPA’s animation quality.

Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of Persona 4 Golden that preserves the original storyline while rebuilding the game’s visuals from the ground up.

The remake will also introduce new elements to both its battle system and in-game events while retaining the core experience that made the original release a fan favorite.
Persona 4 Revival is scheduled to launch for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Steam on February 18, 2027.
