Popular Tokyo hotel to offer Evangelion themed rooms for a limited time

The Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, has announced a major collaboration with the Evangelion franchise to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its original 1995 television broadcast.
The event will take place on the hotel’s “IKEPRI25” concept floor, a unique space dedicated to collaborations with popular anime and manga series.
The IKEPRI25 floor consists of 20 guest rooms and four shared lounge spaces, all of which will be transformed to immerse guests in the world of Evangelion.

Previous collaborations have seen the concept floor transformed with rooms based on the popular anime series Black Butler and Blue Lock.

The hallways leading to the guest rooms are designed to look like the landscape of “Village-3,” the settlement of survivors from the final theatrical film.

Guests will have a choice between two different concept room stay plans.
One room type is designed to look like the “Suzuhara Home,” where the character Toji Suzuhara lived with his family in Village-3.

The second room type is themed after the “Ruins of the Northern Lake,” another location from the film.

Each stay plan comes with a set of five exclusive take-home merchandise items, including an acrylic stand, a can badge, an acrylic art board, a bath towel, and a commemorative room key card.

In addition to the private rooms, guests will have access to four shared concept lounges, each with a different theme.
These include a “Photo Spot” lounge, a “NERV Room,” a “Corified World” lounge, and a “WILLE Room.”

The lounges feature photo spots, areas for taking pictures with plush toys, and exclusive capsule toy machines.

The machines operate on a cashless system only and offer a variety of items based on new chibi character art.
The available capsule toy prizes are:
- Mini-Character Acrylic Stands (5 random varieties): ¥700 per attempt

- Mini-Character Acrylic Keyholders (5 random varieties): ¥700 per attempt

- Mini-Character Can Badges (10 random varieties): ¥500 per attempt

A new, original illustration of the character Kaworu Nagisa dressed in the hotel’s concierge uniform has also been created for the event.

A full collaboration menu will also be available at the hotel’s various restaurants.
