Hatsune Miku Joins Bananya for Adorable New 10th Anniversary Merch Collab Collection
Bananya is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its anime adaptation with a special limited-time pop-up shop that brings together the adorable banana cats with Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len for an exclusive collaboration.
The anniversary event will feature newly created illustrations and a collection of exclusive merchandise inspired by the crossover between the popular characters.
Bananya is a charming character series created by Akiko Nagaoka that follows mysterious cats living inside bananas, with the anime earning fans around the world thanks to its short episodes and irresistibly cute cast.
For this collaboration, original Bananya creator Akiko Nagaoka has produced brand-new artwork, while acclaimed illustrator Fuumi, whose work has attracted a large following both in Japan and internationally, has also contributed exclusive illustrations created especially for the event.
Hatsune Miku is no stranger to crossover projects and has recently appeared in collaborations including a Seven-Eleven-exclusive chocolate mint merchandise collection with Sanrio, a Sanrio collab apparel range, and a second wave of collaborative merchandise with iconic ukiyo-e master Hokusai.
Visitors will be able to browse a selection of exclusive goods including acrylic stands, apparel, stickers, keychains and a variety of additional accessories created for the collaboration.
Customers spending ¥3,300 or more in a single transaction (approx. $22 USD/ £17 GBP) will receive one of four exclusive postcards selected at random while supplies last.
The Bananya Animation 10th Anniversary Pop Up Shop will be held from August 11 to August 20, 2026 at the TO POP-UP Shibuya Sakura Stage Store, located beside the escalator on the third floor of the SHIBUYA SIDE building within Shibuya Sakura Stage.
The pop-up shop will operate daily between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
On August 11, 2026, entry between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. will be available by advance reservation only, with bookings offered on a first-come, first-served basis through the official LivePocket Ticket reservation page.
