Oshi no Ko cast set to reveal season 3 info at summer fan festival
A two-day summer festival dedicated to the anime series Oshi no Ko is scheduled to be held at the Tokorozawa Sakura Town complex in Saitama.
The event, titled the “TV Anime Oshi no Ko Kanto Noryo Matsuri,” will blend traditional Japanese festival activities with fan events centered on the popular show.
Oshi no Ko, based on the manga written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, has gained a massive international following for its dramatic story that explores the dark side of the Japanese entertainment industry through a supernatural lens.
The festival will feature activities such as screenings and special exhibitions related to the series.
Attendees will also be able to participate in a Bon Odori, a traditional style of Japanese folk dance associated with summer festivals.
A key highlight of the event will be a special stage presentation where new information about the upcoming third season of the anime will be revealed.
This presentation will feature the main voice cast of the series.
The panel will include Takeo Ōtsuka, the voice of Aqua; Yurie Igoma, the voice of Ruby; Megumi Han, the voice of Kana Arima; Manaka Iwami, the voice of Akane Kurokawa; and Rumi Okubo, the voice of MEM-cho.
Attendees of the various stage events across the two days will receive exclusive bonus items.
On the first day, those attending any of the three stage events will receive one of 47 possible postcards at random, each featuring a visual from the “47 Prefectures no Ko” campaign.
On the second day, attendees of the first and second stage events will each receive a hologram postcard as a gift.
The “Oshi no Ko Kanto Noryo Matsuri” will take place on Saturday, the 14th of September, and Sunday, the 15th of September.
The special “Season 3 New Information Announcement Event” with the voice cast is scheduled for the first day of the festival, the 14th of September.
