Orders open for new wave of stained glass-style Kingdom Hearts mouse pads

Square Enix has opened pre-orders for a new wave of mouse pads inspired by its critically acclaimed “Kingdom Hearts” series.
The “Kingdom Hearts” series, a unique collaboration between Square Enix and Disney, is popular with fans for its intricate storyline that blends original characters and worlds with iconic Disney and Pixar universes, alongside characters from Square Enix’s own “Final Fantasy” series.

Fan demand for merchandise related to the series has remained consistently high, leading to Square Enix re-releasing a number of sold-out “Kingdom Hearts” products, including playing cards, plushies and music boxes.

The “Kingdom Hearts” games typically follow the journey of Sora, a cheerful teenager who wields the Keyblade, a magical weapon capable of unlocking and sealing hearts.

Alongside his loyal companions, Disney’s Donald Duck and Goofy, Sora travels across various worlds, battling creatures of darkness known as the Heartless and Nobodies, while striving to save his friends and restore peace.

The stained-glass motif holds significant symbolism within the “Kingdom Hearts” narrative, particularly in the “Dive to the Heart” segments, which serve as introspective tutorial areas where players first embark on Sora’s journey.

These sections often feature large, circular stained-glass platforms depicting characters and important moments, representing the depths of a character’s heart and their connections.

The new mouse pad collection comprises four unique variations, each designed to capture the essence and atmosphere of the “Kingdom Hearts” universe through this signature stained-glass style.

Familiar faces from the series adorn these new designs, including Sora, Riku and Kairi.

Each “Kingdom Hearts” stained-glass style mouse pad is priced at 1,650 yen (approx. $11.18 USD / £8.31 GBP).

With pre-orders now open via Square Enix’s online store, fans of the series have the opportunity to secure these stylish items ahead of their official release on September 20th, 2025.
