ONE PIECE x NBA collab expands with six new Luffy figures and Chopper plushies
A massive new merchandise collaboration has been announced between the hit anime ONE PIECE and the NBA.
This new project marks a major expansion of the partnership between the two global brands, which began earlier this year.
In February 2025, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted a special “ONE PIECE Night” during their game against the Clippers.
That event featured exclusive giveaways, including a T-shirt of Luffy in a Lakers uniform, and the premiere of a special animation showing the Straw Hat captain playing basketball.
The series also collaborated with SPALDING to release an exclusive line of basketballs and apparel earlier in 2025.
Now, Bandai Spirits is bringing that concept to a wider audience with a full range of high-quality figures and goods featuring multiple NBA teams.
The headline release is the “ONE PIECE x NBA MASTER STARS PIECE THE MONKEY.D.LUFFY” figure collection.
These figures capture Luffy in a dynamic dunking pose, wearing the authentic uniforms of six different NBA teams.
The lineup includes:
- Los Angeles Lakers
- Chicago Bulls
- Golden State Warriors
- Boston Celtics
- New York Knicks
- Memphis Grizzlies
In addition to the scale figures, a new line of plush toys titled “ONE PIECE x NBA CHOPPER’s PLUSH” has been revealed.
Part of the “CHOPPER’s” project, these 18-centimeter plushies feature the doctor of the Straw Hats wearing the uniforms of the same six teams.
A third collection, “LUFFY’s ONE PIECE x NBA -Uniform Icon Edition,” features miniature uniform figures.
These stand approximately 8.6 centimeters tall and will be sold as blind-box items featuring 10 different NBA teams.
Bandai Spirits has also confirmed that “S.H.Figuarts” action figures based on this collaboration are currently in development.
This crossover adds to a massive month for ONE PIECE merchandise, following the recent announcements of an official watch collection based on all of the members of the Straw Hat crew and a high-end figure of Nico Robin in her Egghead Arc outfit.
The “ONE PIECE x NBA MASTER STARS PIECE THE MONKEY.D.LUFFY” figures are priced at 9,900 yen (approx. $64.10 USD / £50.77 GBP) each.
An advance release will be held at the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on Friday, December 5, 2025.
General online sales via Premium Bandai are scheduled to begin on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
The Chopper plushies are scheduled for release in March 2026, while the Uniform Icon figures are slated for a general 2026 release.
