One Piece Anime Casts Two New Voice Actors for Elbaph Arc

The One Piece franchise announced on Monday that two new cast members will be joining the upcoming Elbaph arc of the anime.
Toei Animation is preparing to introduce fans to the next chapter of the long-running adaptation following a recent break.

The One Piece anime has aired almost every week since its original premiere in 1999.
However, the pace of the adaptation has slowed considerably over the years.
The previous storyline, the Egghead arc, originally debuted in January 2024 before pausing in mid-October 2024 to recharge.
During that break, a 21-episode abridged version of the Fish-Man Island arc aired in its place, featuring reshot scenes and retouched art.

Part 2 of the Egghead arc later premiered with its 1,123rd overall episode on Fuji TV on April 5, 2025, alongside a recap episode.
The following episode aired on April 6 in a new timeslot at 11:15 p.m. JST.
In related franchise news, the second live-action season based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, recently debuted on Netflix on March 10.

The first two episodes of the live-action series were played in over 200 theaters across Canada, the United States, and Japan on the exact same day.
Producer Ryūta Koike announced on October 28, 2025, that the anime is reducing its annual episode output to a maximum of 26 episodes starting in 2026.

According to Toei Animation, this new schedule will allow episodes to incorporate more content, tempo, and pacing of the manga while leveraging unique storytelling methods.
Following the conclusion of the Egghead arc last year, the anime entered a three-month production hiatus spanning from January to March 2026.

Alongside the production updates, the newly revealed voice actors for the upcoming arc were confirmed as:
- Gerd
- Voiced by Ayane Sakura.

- Road
- Voiced by Ryōta Takeuchi.

The anime is officially scheduled to return in Japan on April 5, 2026, for the first of two cours, marking the start of the new Elbaph arc.
