Nostalgic Professor Layton gashapon accessory range set to go on sale

A new line of collectible accessories is here for fans of the puzzle-solving adventure, Professor Layton and the Curious Village.
The new merchandise comes from Bandai and offers a fun throwback to the game that started the entire series on the Nintendo DS.

The items themselves are called “Mejirushi Accessories,” which are small charms designed to help you mark your personal belongings.
Each mini figure is about 4.2 centimeters tall (over 1½ inches) tall and comes with a clasp and a silicone loop.

This means you can easily attach them to the handle of your umbrella, a pen, or a pouch to quickly tell which one is yours.
The set features five memorable faces from the very first game’s mystery.
Of course, the puzzle-solving gentleman himself, Professor Layton, is part of the collection.

He’s joined by his trusty apprentice with a knack for talking to animals, Luke Triton.

Flora Reinhold, the mysterious girl at the center of the Curious Village’s secrets, also gets her own charm.

Even the determined and slightly grumpy Inspector Chelmey of Scotland Yard is included in the lineup.

Rounding out the set is Claudia, the all-important cat from the Reinhold estate.

This collection is being offered through Gashapon Online, which is a virtual version of the classic capsule toy machines you find all over Japan.
You can try your luck at getting one of these charms for 300 yen (approx. $2.04 USD / £1.50 GBP) per attempt on the Gashapon Online site, with the collection having gone on sale on July 8th.

Orders will be accepted until 11:59 JST on July 24th, 2025, with shipments for the online orders planned to go out around the end of October 2025.
For those unable to get their hands on the initial Gashapon Online release, there’s a chance that the “Professor Layton and the Curious Village Mejirushi Accessory Collection” might show up in physical capsule machines across Japan later this year.
