New high-end statue of Evangelion’s “Mass Produced Evangelion” revealed

High-end collectible manufacturer Prime 1 Studio has unveiled its fifth collaborative statue from the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, featuring mechanical designer Josh Nizzi.

The announcement, highlighting the “Mass Produced Evangelion,” was made during the company’s recent event, “NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XIV: THE BRIDGES BETWEEN WORLDS.”

Prime 1 Studio is known in the collectibles market for producing large-scale, highly detailed statues based on popular franchises across video games, anime, and comics. 

Their “NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE” events are a platform to reveal upcoming premium products to collectors worldwide.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a globally significant Japanese anime franchise created by Hideaki Anno and produced by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production.

Since its debut in 1995, it has become a cultural touchstone recognized for its complex narrative, psychological depth, and iconic mecha designs.

The “Mass Produced Evangelion” units, introduced in the film “The End of Evangelion,” are particularly memorable for their unsettling, bird-like appearance and their role as antagonists against the protagonists’ Evangelion units.

Josh Nizzi is a renowned concept artist and mechanical designer, having contributed to numerous Hollywood blockbusters, including designs for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Transformers films. 

His collaboration with Prime 1 on their Evangelion series of statues offers a unique artistic interpretation of these iconic mechs.

Pre-orders for the new Prime 1 Studio Mass Produced Evangelion statue are currently expected to open in Q3 2025.
