New Ghost in the Shell statue recreates one of the original film’s most iconic moments

High-end collectible manufacturer Prime 1 Studio revealed the best look yet at its upcoming 1/4 scale “Motoko Kusanagi VS Arachnida” statue from the enduring science fiction anime series, Ghost in the Shell.
The announcement came during the company’s recent event, “NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XIV: THE BRIDGES BETWEEN WORLDS.”

Prime 1 Studio is widely recognized in the collectibles industry for producing large-scale, intricately detailed statues based on iconic characters from various media, including anime, video games, and comics.
Their “NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE” events serve as a key platform for unveiling their latest premium offerings to a global audience of collectors.

Ghost in the Shell is a monumental science fiction franchise, originating from Masamune Shirow’s manga and most notably recognized for Mamoru Oshii’s animated film from 1995.
The series is celebrated for its deep philosophical themes, exploration of cyberpunk concepts, and groundbreaking animation.

Set in a near-future world, it focuses on Public Security Section 9, an elite covert operations unit specializing in cybercrime and terrorism.
Major Motoko Kusanagi is the protagonist, a powerful cyborg field commander known for her exceptional combat skills, tactical brilliance, and introspective grappling with her own identity in a heavily digitized world.

The detailed new statue recreates the iconic scene where Major Kusanagi takes on the T08A2 Spider Tank, also known as “Arachnida”.

Further details about the 1/4 scale “Motoko Kusanagi VS Arachnida” statue, including its specific design elements and pricing, are expected to be released closer to the Q3 2025 pre-order window.
