Gundam 00V’s Superbia Jinx Is Finally Getting a Master Grade Gunpla Kit
Image by Charlotte DavisBandai has officially revealed the first look at a new Master Grade Gunpla based on Gundam 00V’s Superbia Jinx, which sees the specialized amphibious Mobile Suit join the 1/100-scale line for the first time.
The “MG 1/100 Superbia Jinx” was shown publicly at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show, where Bandai confirmed that the unusual Gundam 00 variation will be released as a Premium Bandai exclusive.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00V expanded the Anno Domini timeline through a series of mechanical variations and additional Mobile Suits that existed alongside the events of the main anime, including specialized versions of machines operated by Celestial Being, the Earth Sphere Federation and A-Laws.

The GNX-612T/AA Superbia Jinx was introduced through the project in 2009 as a heavily modified development of the GN-XIII created specifically for amphibious assault missions.
Instead of simply adapting the GN-XIII for underwater combat, the Earth Sphere Federation equipped the machine with a dedicated Amphibious Assault Unit that allowed it to approach targets from beneath the water before rapidly transitioning into a conventional Mobile Suit once it reached land.

The additional equipment consists of a sensor section positioned around the upper body, a hover unit attached around the waist and weapon packs mounted alongside the arms, with the complete system designed to be discarded after the Superbia Jinx reaches shore.
That gave the machine an unusual role within Gundam 00’s military forces, allowing it to carry out surprise attacks in environments where comparatively few contemporary Mobile Suits were capable of operating effectively.

Its development also went considerably further than simply modifying the GN-XIII for a different environment, incorporating technology connected to the Innovators and the GNMA-04B11 Trilobite underwater Mobile Armor.
The resulting performance was considered close to the next-generation GN-XIV that was still under development, with technology from the Superbia Jinx subsequently contributing to later machines including the GN-XIV itself.

One prototype was used by Innovator Hiling Care during a mission to infiltrate a supposedly hidden Celestial Being base on an uninhabited island, although Hiling already knew through Veda that the facility had been abandoned.
The Superbia Jinx’s distinctive appearance replaces several familiar GN-XIII elements with equipment suited to its specialist role, including a revised sensor-equipped head, additional mounting points around the chest and waist, and feet capable of deploying large claw-like sections for securing the machine after landing.

Its main close-combat weapons are a pair of GN Kunai mounted across the arms, with each compact weapon combining a physical GN Sword with integrated GN Vulcan and GN Beam Needle functions.
Bandai’s new Master Grade recreates the Superbia Jinx’s dark purple coloring alongside the extensively altered head, chest, waist, lower legs, and arm-mounted GN Kunai that separate it visually from the standard GN-XIII.

The reveal continues a Master Grade lineage that began with Bandai’s original MG GN-X in 2010 before expanding to machines including the Advanced GN-X and the Premium Bandai exclusive MG GN-XIII in 2018.
The latter already recreated the changes between the original GN-X and GN-XIII with newly molded chest, shoulder, and waist armor, making the Superbia Jinx another substantial step further along the same Mobile Suit family.

Gundam 00 has received several other major Gunpla releases during 2026, including the new MGSD 00 Raiser and a Gundam Base exclusive MG Gundam Kyrios in its Trans-Am Mode using Metallic Gloss Injection.

The series’ wider timeline has also continued to grow through releases such as the RG Gundam Exia Repair IV, which brings Graham Aker’s later Gundam from the “Gundam 00 Festival 10 Re” story into the Real Grade line.

Bandai has not yet revealed the full accessory lineup for the MG Superbia Jinx, including whether the much larger Amphibious Assault Unit will be included with the kit.

The “MG 1/100 Superbia Jinx” will first be released exclusively through Premium Bandai Japan for ¥6,050 (approximately $38 / £29), with its pre-order opening date and scheduled shipping period yet to be confirmed.
For builders in the US, the new MG Superbia Jinx should appear through Premium Bandai US sometime after its Japanese pre-order period opens, as corresponding Premium Bandai Gunpla releases frequently take several days or weeks to receive their US listings.
