MAPPA Unveils New Chainsaw Man Assasins Arc Trailer

The Chainsaw Man franchise continues to expand with the reveal of a brand-new trailer for “Chainsaw Man: Assassin Arc,” while a smartphone game adaptation has also been officially announced.
The latest updates were presented during MAPPA’s 15th Anniversary Lineup Presentation, giving fans their most substantial look yet at the highly anticipated continuation of the anime’s story.

Created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man ran for eight years between 2018 and 2026 across Weekly Shonen Jump and Shonen Jump+, eventually surpassing 36 million copies in circulation worldwide.

The anime adaptation, produced by MAPPA, debuted in 2022 and quickly became one of the studio’s most internationally recognized titles, joining acclaimed productions such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan: The Final Season.

The franchise’s momentum continued with the theatrical release of “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc,” which served as a direct continuation of the first season of the TV anime.

Following its debut in September 2025, the film attracted approximately 7.1 million moviegoers in Japan and generated more than ¥10.8 billion at the domestic box office (approx. $74 million USD/£55 million GBP).

The movie later launched in more than 100 countries and regions, including the United States and South Korea, ultimately achieving worldwide earnings exceeding ¥29.78 billion (approx. $204 million USD/£151 million GBP).

With the success of the film, production of “Chainsaw Man: Assassin Arc” was subsequently confirmed, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further details about the next chapter in Denji’s story.

The newly released trailer offers a first glimpse at the dangerous international assassins who begin moving against Denji, while also introducing several previously unseen characters.

The footage highlights the increasingly global scope of the conflict and suggests that some of the manga’s most intense storylines are on the horizon.

Alongside the anime announcement, a brand-new smartphone game based on Chainsaw Man was officially revealed.

The game’s opening theme has been confirmed as “ALL THE LYNCH!! ALL THE MINCE!!” by Maximum the Hormone, the Japanese rock band known for its explosive sound and previous association with the franchise.

An opening movie created by MAPPA and set to the song was also unveiled during the presentation, providing an early look at the game’s visual style and energy.

Maximum the Hormone vocalist Maximum the Ryo-kun shared that the version currently being heard runs for just one minute and twenty-nine seconds, but explained that the completed full version has already been finished and extends to approximately four and a half minutes.

According to Ryo-kun, the song was created by pouring every aspect of his personal image of Chainsaw Man into a fast-paced musical experience.

He also joked that fellow band member Daisuke-han became emotional and shed tears after hearing the demo, describing the reaction as a genuine moment that reminded him why he enjoys creating music.

Ryo-kun further expressed hope that fans will eventually be able to hear the complete version, although a release date for the full track has not yet been announced.

The upcoming anime is being directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, with Hiroshi Seko handling series composition and Kensuke Ushio returning to compose the music.

Kazutaka Sugiyama serves as character designer, while MAPPA once again takes responsibility for animation production.

Returning cast members include Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Shiori Izawa as Pochita, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa, and Fairouz Ai as Power.

Additional cast members include Karin Takahashi as Kobeni Higashiyama, Kenjiro Tsuda as Kishibe, Maaya Uchida as Angel Devil, Natsuki Hanae as Beam, Yuya Uchida as Violence Fiend, and Saori Goto as Spider Devil.

The latest “Chainsaw Man: Assassin Arc” trailer and the smartphone game announcement were both revealed on June 19 during the MAPPA 15th Anniversary Lineup Presentation, which remains available to watch through MAPPA’s official YouTube channel archive.
