Monster Hunter’s New Arkveld Armor Model Kit Officially Opens for Pre-Orders
Pre-orders have officially opened for a new Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration model kit that gives fans the chance to build an articulated hunter equipped with armor and weapons based on the game’s flagship monster.
The “30MF Monster Hunter Wilds Arkveld Equipment – Shuvalka Series -” forms part of the first Monster Hunter collaboration for Bandai’s 30 MINUTES FANTASY series, adapting the Shuvalka equipment into a fully articulated model complete with its transforming Switch Axe.
Arkveld plays a central role in Monster Hunter Wilds and quickly became one of the game’s defining monsters, making equipment created from its materials a natural choice to represent Wilds within the new crossover.
The Shuvalka Series armor is fitted over the standard 30MF “Silhouette” body, which uses a muscular humanoid build and extensive articulation to support both natural stances and more exaggerated fantasy combat poses.
Separate movement through the head and neck allows the hunter to lower the chin or push the face forward, while the shoulder construction is designed to preserve the overall shape of the body even when the arms are moved into more extreme positions.
The shoulder and waist armor are attached through joints extending from the back rather than being fixed directly against the body, giving the larger equipment sections more freedom to move independently during posing.
Like other 30MF releases, the underlying body uses standardized connection points that allow the armor and equipment to be removed or combined with compatible parts from elsewhere in the series.
Its Element Core uses the neutral “None” attribute, with the included Shuvalka armor and weapons effectively functioning as the parts required to “Job Change” the base Silhouette into its Monster Hunter configuration.
The centerpiece of the kit is its large Switch Axe, which has been engineered to transform between Sword Mode, Axe Mode and its sheathed configuration without requiring builders to replace sections of the weapon.
That transformation gives the weapon considerably more display flexibility than a static accessory, allowing the same model to represent several of the Switch Axe’s familiar configurations from Monster Hunter Wilds.
A Knife and Slinger are also included, adding two smaller pieces of recognizable hunter equipment alongside the much larger transforming weapon.
The kit also includes an Action Base 6 specifically to help support the Switch Axe during more demanding poses, reducing the amount of weight that needs to be carried entirely through the figure’s hands and arms.
The complete package includes the Switch Axe, Knife, Slinger and Action Base 6 alongside the Silhouette body and Shuvalka armor required to complete the hunter.
The Arkveld kit is being released alongside the “30MF Monster Hunter Wilds Rathalos Equipment – Rathalos Series -,” which recreates the familiar red Rathalos armor with a Great Sword, deployable Slinger and extensive organic surface detailing.
Together, the Rathalos and Arkveld releases establish Monster Hunter as the first outside franchise to receive dedicated crossover kits within 30 MINUTES FANTASY, while still retaining the interchangeable construction that defines the wider series.
The “30MF Monster Hunter Wilds Arkveld Equipment – Shuvalka Series -” is priced at ¥4,950 (approx. $31 USD / £23 GBP), with pre-orders now open through reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan.
The non-scale model kit is scheduled for release in March 2027, alongside the Rathalos Equipment – Rathalos Series kit.
