Monster Hunter's Rathalos Officially Joins Good Smile's Nendoroid Figure Line

Good Smile Company has opened pre-orders for a new Monster Hunter Nendoroid, transforming one of the series’ most iconic monsters into a compact articulated figure with several playful display options.

The new release is based on Rathalos, the fire-breathing Flying Wyvern known as the “King of the Skies” and a recurring flagship monster that has appeared throughout the Monster Hunter franchise since the original game.

Rathalos is known for attacking hunters from the air with powerful claws, poison and fireballs, making the monster one of the most recognizable threats associated with Capcom’s long-running action RPG series.

Standing approximately 9 cm tall, the Nendoroid Rathalos condenses its red-scaled body, large wings, horned head and segmented tail into the stylized proportions associated with Good Smile Company’s figure line.

Two interchangeable expressions are included, with a standard face for more aggressive poses and a closed-eye face that can be combined with the included sleep effect to recreate the familiar sight of a monster resting between battles.

A fireball effect provides an option for recreating Rathalos’ signature ranged attack, while an interchangeable severed tail references the series’ long-running mechanic of hunters cutting away specific monster parts during combat.

The figure is articulated throughout its body and wings, allowing Rathalos to be posed on the ground or arranged in more dynamic airborne displays using the included stand.

Nendoroid Rathalos is priced at ¥8,900 (approx. $56 USD / £42 GBP), with pre-orders now open through the Good Smile Company Online Store, e-Capcom, and reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan.

The figure is currently scheduled to begin shipping in March 2027.
