New Chainsaw Man Game Officially Announced by MAPPA

A brand-new Chainsaw Man mobile game has officially been announced by MAPPA, marking the franchise’s latest expansion beyond manga, anime, and film projects.
The reveal arrived alongside a major update for the upcoming Chainsaw Man Assassins Arc anime, with both announcements showcased during MAPPA’s 15th Anniversary Lineup Presentation streamed on June 19.

Chainsaw Man began serialization in 2018 and ran across Weekly Shonen Jump and Shonen Jump+ for eight years through 2026, becoming one of the most successful manga series of its generation with more than 36 million copies in circulation worldwide.

Created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the story follows Denji, a young man whose life changes dramatically after merging with the Chainsaw Devil Pochita, granting him the terrifying ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws while battling deadly devils that threaten humanity.

The anime adaptation, produced by MAPPA, debuted in 2022 and earned widespread acclaim both in Japan and internationally.

MAPPA is also known for producing major anime hits, including Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan: The Final Season.

The franchise continued its success with the theatrical film Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, which served as a direct continuation of the television series’ finale.

After premiering in September 2025, the movie attracted approximately 7.1 million admissions in Japan and generated box office earnings of 10.8 billion yen (approx. $73.5 million USD/ £54.6 million GBP).

The film later expanded to more than 100 countries and regions, including the United States and South Korea, ultimately surpassing 29.78 billion yen at the global box office (approx. $202.7 million USD/ £150.4 million GBP).

As part of the new Chainsaw Man game’s unveiling, an opening sequence produced by MAPPA was revealed for the first time.

The mobile title’s opening theme has been confirmed as “ALL THE LYNCH!! ALL THE MINCE!!” by Japanese rock band Maximum the Hormone.

Maximum the Hormone vocalist Maximum the Ryo-kun revealed that the version currently heard in promotional materials lasts only one minute and twenty-nine seconds.

He explained that the track was created by pouring every aspect of his personal image of Chainsaw Man into a fast-paced composition designed to hit listeners with maximum impact.

According to Ryo-kun, a complete version of the song has already been finished and runs for approximately four and a half minutes.

He added that he believes the track has the potential to become a staple of the band’s future live performances.

Ryo-kun also shared that fellow band member Daisuke-han reportedly became emotional and cried after hearing the demo version of the song, a reaction he described as a particularly rewarding moment as a songwriter.

Although no release date has been announced for the full version of the track, Ryo-kun expressed his desire for fans to hear it in its entirety in the future.

Alongside the mobile game announcement, MAPPA also premiered the first major trailer for Chainsaw Man Assassins Arc.

The new footage offers a look at deadly assassins from around the world as they begin moving against Denji, setting the stage for one of the manga’s most intense storylines.

Several new characters also make appearances throughout the trailer, giving fans an early glimpse at the expanding cast.

Chainsaw Man Assassins Arc was previously announced as the next major continuation of the anime following the events of the Reze Arc film.

The newly released trailer represents the most substantial update on the project since its original announcement.

The series will be directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, with Hiroshi Seko handling series composition and screenplay duties, while Kensuke Ushio returns to provide the music.

Kazutaka Sugiyama serves as character designer, with animation production once again being handled by MAPPA.

The returning voice cast includes Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Shiori Izawa as Pochita, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa, and Fairouz Ai as Power.

Additional cast members include Karin Takahashi as Kobeni Higashiyama, Kenjiro Tsuda as Kishibe, Maaya Uchida as Angel Devil, Natsuki Hanae as Beam, Yuya Uchida as Violence Fiend, and Saori Goto as Spider Devil.
