NANA and Godiva Reveal Second Official Collab Collection Featuring New Ai Yazawa Art

Godiva is expanding its collaboration with NANA through a second collection of chocolates, drinks and limited-edition goods featuring newly drawn artwork from series creator Ai Yazawa.

The new range follows the first Godiva × NANA collection launched in August, which introduced Nana Osaki and Hachi-inspired Chocolixirs alongside character sleeves, a manga artwork tumbler and an ice cream set with reusable accessories.

Godiva had already confirmed that the first release was only the beginning, with the second phase now shifting more of the attention toward Black Stones and original illustrations created specifically for the collaboration.

NANA follows two young women who share the same name but have very different personalities, with Nana Osaki pursuing her ambitions as the vocalist of punk band Black Stones while Nana Komatsu, better known as Hachi, becomes closely connected to the band and its complicated relationships.

One of Yazawa’s new illustrations shows Nana holding Godiva’s heart-shaped “Coeur” chocolate, while another depicts Hachi drinking a Chocolixir.

The members of Black Stones have also received new artwork with a slightly more mature look, which appears prominently across several packages and accompanying goods.

The “Godiva × NANA Collection Assortment,” priced at ¥1,728 (approx. $11 USD / £8 GBP) for four pieces and ¥3,456 (approx. $22 USD / £16 GBP) for eight pieces, combines chocolates inspired by the Black Stones logo and characters including Nana, Yasu, Nobu and Shin with rose and heart-shaped pieces.

Flavors include milk chocolate ganache, strawberry, salted dark chocolate ganache, salted caramel and orange, alongside a rose-shaped dark chocolate with rose filling and a white chocolate heart with a vanilla-flavored center.

Both assortment boxes use Yazawa’s newly drawn Black Stones illustration across the packaging, tying the presentation directly into the new artwork created for this second wave.

The “Godiva × NANA Collection G Chocolat 6-Piece Set,” priced at ¥2,376 (approx. $15 USD / £11 GBP), comes inside a heart-shaped tin with milk chocolate salted caramel ganache, dark chocolate cacao ganache and dark chocolate rose ganache pieces wrapped in exclusive NANA designs.

An accompanying “Godiva × NANA Collection Gift Bag S,” priced at ¥275 (approx. $2 USD / £1 GBP), carries the new Black Stones artwork and can only be purchased alongside qualifying chocolates from the collaboration.

The new “Godiva × NANA Mixed Berry Cake Chocolixir,” priced at ¥870 (approx. $5 USD / £4 GBP) for a regular or ¥980 (approx. $6 USD / £5 GBP) for a large, takes inspiration from the berry cake Hachi makes for the band members in the story.

Strawberry and blueberry flavors are combined with cocoa cookies, dried strawberry and blueberry toppings, while a Black Stones-branded chocolate plate completes the drink.

Each Chocolixir also comes with a character-themed sleeve that can be peeled away and used as a sticker.

The “Godiva × NANA Chocolixir & Tumbler Set,” priced at ¥4,400 (approx. $28 USD / £20 GBP), pairs a regular Mixed Berry Cake Chocolixir with an exclusive tumbler decorated with the newly drawn collaboration artwork.

Godiva will not sell the tumbler separately, making the drink set the only way to pick up that particular piece of merchandise.

A later addition, the “Godiva × NANA Cup Ice Cream Insulated Bag Set,” is priced at ¥2,700 (approx. $17 USD / £12 GBP) in Godiva stores or ¥3,564 (approx. $22 USD / £16 GBP) through the online shop with shipping included.

The set contains Madagascar Vanilla, Strawberry & Chocolate Chip, 72% Cacao Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate & Chocolate Chip ice creams packed inside a NANA-themed insulated bag.

Godiva is also marking the second collaboration with an original sticker campaign and a special NANA window display at GODIVA café Minatomirai.

Customers spending at least ¥3,000 before tax on purchases that include a collaboration item at participating physical locations will receive one original sticker while supplies last, while qualifying online advance reservations come with a different design.

Online reservations for selected chocolate sets will open through the Godiva Japan online store on September 1 at 10:00 AM JST, ahead of sales through Godiva stores, GODIVA café locations, outlets, GODIVA dessert and Godiva Crepe from September 16.

The main chocolate collection is expected to remain available through October 31 while supplies last, with the Mixed Berry Cake Chocolixir and Chocolixir & Tumbler Set also launching on September 16.

The Cup Ice Cream Insulated Bag Set will follow through participating Godiva stores and the Godiva Japan online shop from October 5.
