Maebashi Witches Compilation Film Officially Announced

The original television anime Maebashi Witches has officially announced that the series is being adapted into a theatrical compilation film for Japanese cinemas.
The announcement was made on March 21, 2026, accompanied by a new teaser image and a promotional trailer to build anticipation for the big screen release.

Specific details regarding the film’s premiere date have not yet been disclosed by the production team.
The original series was created by Sunrise and initially broadcast in Japan from April 6, 2025, to June 22, 2025, spanning 12 episodes.
Junichi Yamamoto served as the director for the project at Bandai Namco Filmworks and PROJECT MBW.
The production featured series composition and scripts by Erika Yoshida, while Yu Inami provided the original character designs.
Nozomi Tachibana was responsible for the animation character designs, and Yuri Habuka composed the musical score.
Set in Maebashi City within the Gunma Prefecture, the story follows first-year high school student Yuina Akagi after she meets a mysterious frog named Keroppe.
Yuina joins her friends Azu Niisato, Kyoka Kitahara, Choco Mitsumata, and Mai Kamiizumi as they work together to grant people’s wishes as the Maebashi Witches.
In addition to the movie news, the original television series is scheduled for a rebroadcast on Tokyo MX and BS11 starting April 5, 2026.
