Bandai has revealed a new premium Gundam Card Game collection celebrating the 30th anniversary of After War Gundam X, featuring newly illustrated cards for Gundam DX, Garrod Ran and Tiffa Adill alongside a complete lineup of themed accessories.

The “Gundam Card Game Premium Goods Set After War Gundam X [PB04]” brings two existing cards back with new artwork and packages them with exclusive resource cards, sleeves, a card case, rubber playmat, and storage box.

After War Gundam X originally began airing in Japan on April 5, 1996, as the third major alternate-universe Gundam television series, following Mobile Fighter G Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.

Set 15 years after the devastating Seventh Space War, the anime follows Garrod Ran after his attempt to steal the GX-9900 Gundam X brings him together with mysterious Newtype Tiffa Adill and eventually the crew of the Freeden.

Bandai launched a wider 30th anniversary project for the series earlier this year, with the celebrations since expanding across new Gunpla, apparel, music releases, and the new Gundam X FLASH sequel manga continuing Garrod and Tiffa’s story.

After War Gundam X first joined the Gundam Card Game through the 2025 booster set “Dual Impact [GD02],” which introduced characters and Mobile Suits from the series alongside Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam AGE.

One of the two newly illustrated cards in the anniversary collection revisits the purple “Garrod Ran & Tiffa Adill” Pilot card originally released as GD02-094, placing the pair together in the foreground with several other members of the Gundam X cast behind them.

The existing card is designed around the Vulture trait used by many Gundam X cards, allowing players to discard a card when Garrod and Tiffa are paired before searching the top three cards of their deck for a Vulture Unit.

The second new illustration is reserved for “Gundam DX,” the powerful Gundam Double X that replaces Garrod’s original Gundam X as his main Mobile Suit during the latter stages of the anime.

Originally introduced to the card game through “Phantom Aria [GD04],” GD04-049 Gundam DX functions as one of the major late-game options available to Vulture-focused decks, using cards accumulated in the trash to target opposing Units or Bases.

Both cards retain their existing gameplay identities rather than introducing completely new versions, with the exclusive illustrations providing the main attraction for collectors.

The Garrod and Tiffa artwork also appears across the included card sleeves, while the rest of the collection spreads its anniversary styling across characters, Mobile Suits, and imagery associated with the anime.

Ten Resource Cards are included with individual designs drawing from both the cast and Mobile Suits of Gundam X, giving players a fully themed Resource lineup that can be used regardless of the deck they choose to play.

The card case uses a deep blue and purple finish with gold line artwork of the Gundam X, accompanied by a matching separator featuring the moon and the anime’s 30th anniversary branding.

A full-size rubber playmat brings together Garrod, Tiffa, and several other characters alongside Mobile Suits from across the series, with Gundam imagery extending across both sides of the battlefield.

The outer packaging has also been designed to double as a storage box, using the same dark anniversary coloring and gold mechanical artwork seen across the rest of the set.

The complete collection includes:

  • 2 Gundam DX and Garrod Ran & Tiffa Adill card designs, with 2 copies of each for 4 cards in total
  • 10 Resource Cards, with 1 copy of each design
  • 70 card sleeves
  • 1 card case and separator set
  • 1 rubber playmat
  • 1 storage box

Bandai previously used the same Premium Goods Set format to celebrate Mobile Suit Gundam Wing’s 30th anniversary, with its PB01 collection similarly combining newly illustrated cards with dedicated sleeves, Resources, a playmat, and storage accessories.

The new card collection also joins several other major Gundam X anniversary releases already announced by Bandai, including a full-size PROPLICA recreation of Garrod’s G-Controller with lights, vibration, character dialogue, and sequences based on the Satellite Cannon.

Garrod’s later Mobile Suit is receiving another major anniversary release as well, with Gundam Double X becoming a new METAL ROBOT SPIRITS figure featuring its Twin Satellite Cannon Mk-II and the detailed mechanical finishes associated with the premium line.
