Kill Blue anime reveals more cast details as Spring 2026 debut confirmed
The anime adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kill Blue is officially scheduled to begin broadcasting in Spring 2026.
The announcement was made during the series’ stage presentation at Jump Festa ’26 on Sunday, where the production team unveiled a new promotional video and key visual.
The series marks a significant milestone for animation studio CUE, serving as its first main television production since being established by DMM and former Production I.G executive Rui Kuroki in 2023.
The project is directed by Hiro Kaburagi, known for Great Pretender, with character designs provided by Miho Daidōji.
The story follows Juzo Ogami, a legendary hitman who is mysteriously reverted to his teenage years and must infiltrate a middle school to uncover the truth behind his transformation.
Created by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, the author of Kuroko’s Basketball, the manga concluded its run in Weekly Shonen Jump earlier this year on September 1, with the final volume and a novel adaptation shipping on December 4.
While Shunsuke Takeuchi was previously announced as the voice of the adult Juzo Ogami, the new trailer teased the appearance of character Shin Kohazame and confirmed the voice cast for Juzo’s younger self and his classmates:

- Fūka Izumi as Noren Mitsuoka
- Shūichirō Umeda as Kotatsu Nekota
- Takeo Ōtsuka as Tenma Tendo
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Chisato Shiraishi
- Yumi Uchiyama as Eri Wanibuchi
The Kill Blue premiere date is part of a crowded release schedule revealed at Jump Festa ’26.
The event has set the stage for the next few years of anime, confirming that One Piece will enter the Elbaph Arc in April 2026 and Black Clover will return later that same year.
Fans can also look forward to the final part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War in July 2026 and the second season of Blue Box in the fall.
Looking further ahead, DAN DA DAN and Mashle: Magic and Muscles have confirmed third seasons for 2027.
Additionally, other major announcements included a second season for Sakamoto Days, a My Hero Academia 10th Anniversary episode, and a World Trigger reboot project.
Kill Blue will debut on TV Tokyo and its affiliated networks in April 2026.
