Kill Blue Anime Releases New Extended Trailer And Key Visual
The second main trailer and key visual for the anime adaptation of Kill Blue, the manga series by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, were released on March 25, 2026.
Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, the action comedy manga has gained attention for its unique premise of a seasoned professional killer navigating the chaotic world of Japanese middle school.
The series follows Juzo Ogami, a legendary 39-year-old hitman who is transformed into a 13-year-old boy after being stung by a mysterious wasp following a successful mission.
Under orders from his boss, Ogami must use his younger body to infiltrate a middle school where he encounters a variety of classmates and faces the challenges of adolescent life alongside the threat of rival assassins.
The upcoming television series is scheduled to premiere on April 11, 2026, at 23:00 on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.
The production is being handled by the studio CUE, with a staff roster that has seen some recent updates to its creative leadership.
Hiro Kaburagi, known for his work on Kimi ni Todoke, is now serving as the scriptwriter and animation supervisor, while Yasunori Ide is credited as the Animation Director.
The technical team includes Miho Daidoji on character designs, Taketo Gonpei as art director, and Ryo Konishi as the music composer.
Additional staff confirmed for the project include color setters Shiho Suzuki and Yoshinori Horikawa, director of photography Shinya Matsui, editor Daisuke Imai, and sound director Shoji Hata.
The latest promotional materials provide fans with a first look at Ogami’s middle school classmates and offers a preview of the series’ theme songs.
