Gundam Wing’s Heero Yuy Flight Jacket Gets Official US Re-Release
Gundam fans in the US can now officially order one of the hottest Gundam Wing collaboration items, the “STRICT-G x SPIEWAK Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz Heero Yuy Model L-2 Hoodie”.
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz continues the story of the five Gundam pilots after the original TV series, with Heero Yuy once again taking center stage alongside the instantly recognizable Wing Gundam Zero.
Originally released as part of the 30th-anniversary celebrations for Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, the jacket was created as the first collaboration between Gundam-themed apparel label STRICT-G and historic American military clothing brand SPIEWAK.
SPIEWAK was established in New York in 1904 by Isaac Spiewak and has built a reputation over more than a century through durable military, public service and cold-weather clothing.
The company has previously produced garments for military use and now supplies hard-wearing Titan Cloth jackets to American public institutions including police and fire departments, while its apparel is also used for work and expeditions in demanding environments such as Alaska.
Following a major rebranding project launched for its 110th anniversary in 2014, SPIEWAK began combining its established practical construction with cleaner, more contemporary styling.
The “Heero Yuy Model” applies that approach to a lightweight L-2-style flight jacket made from heavy nylon twill, giving it a clean silhouette and a refined RP Blue finish with reduced shine.
A detachable fleece hood makes the jacket easier to adapt across different seasons, while its lighter construction gives it a more wearable everyday feel than bulkier cold-weather military jackets.
Character-inspired patches across the exterior add a subtle military look tied to Heero Yuy, including a removable SPIEWAK chest patch that reveals the pilot’s name underneath.
The inside of the jacket features a large Wing Gundam Zero design, creating a more direct connection to Heero’s signature Mobile Suit without overwhelming the exterior styling.
An original illustration of Heero Yuy wearing the collaboration jacket was also created for the release.
Each purchase includes one acrylic standee featuring the exclusive artwork, with one bonus supplied for every jacket ordered.
The “STRICT-G x SPIEWAK Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz Heero Yuy Model L-2 Hoodie” is priced at $369.00 USD (approx. ¥54,300 / £275 GBP).
US pre-orders are now open through Premium Bandai US
until August 10, 2026 at 10:59 AM EDT.
The jacket is currently scheduled to ship during September 2026.
