Square Enix Opens Pre-Orders for New Xenogears BRING ARTS Figure

The new “Xenogears BRING ARTS Xenogears” recreates the powerful machine that appears towards the end of the game as a fully painted, articulated figure based on its original design.

Originally released for the PlayStation in 1998, Xenogears follows Fei Fong Wong, a young martial artist who becomes caught up in a sprawling conflict involving powerful humanoid machines known as Gears.

The game became a cult classic thanks to its ambitious storytelling, philosophical themes, and distinctive blend of traditional RPG combat with large-scale mecha battles.

Square Enix has previously released several machines from Xenogears through its STRUCTURE ARTS plastic model range, including a smaller 1/144-scale version of the ultimate Gear itself.

The STRUCTURE ARTS line has also expanded into other classic RPGs, with Square Enix recently revealing a new model kit based on Tifa Lockhart’s original 1997 Final Fantasy VII design.

Its predominantly white armour has been given a pearlescent finish, complemented by deep blue and vibrant red sections, along with transparent components and metallic paintwork throughout.

The figure’s extensive articulation allows it to be positioned in dynamic combat poses from the game, with the large rear unit also featuring movable sections.

Interchangeable hand parts and a dedicated display stand are included, allowing for a variety of different poses.

The “Xenogears BRING ARTS Xenogears” is priced at ¥41,800 (approximately $264 / £199), with pre-orders now available through the official Square Enix e-STORE and reputable hobby retailers such as HobbyLink Japan ahead of its scheduled February 27, 2027 release.
