Exclusive Gundam Wing G-Unit Gunpla Kit Finally Arrives at P-Bandai US

The Hydra Gundam has officially arrived at Premium Bandai US, with pre-orders now open for an all-new HG 1/144 model kit based on the powerful mobile suit from Gundam Wing DUAL STORY G-UNIT.
Expanding the world of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing beyond the original anime, Gundam Wing DUAL STORY G-UNIT introduces a new cast of characters and mobile suits that fight alongside the events of Operation Meteor.

The OZ-15AGX Hydra Gundam is piloted by Valder Farkill, the feared leader of OZ Prize known across the battlefield as the “Dark Destroyer General,” and was originally developed to eliminate the five Gundams deployed during Operation Meteor.

Named after Hydra, the largest of the 88 modern constellations, the mobile suit combines overwhelming firepower with advanced technology, including a devastating Buster Cannon, a high-speed Mobile Armor mode, and the distinction of being the first machine in the Gundam Wing universe to utilize psycommu weapon technology.

For this release, Bandai has completely recreated Hydra Gundam with an all-new 1/144 scale mold that showcases modern color separation, intricate mechanical detail, and updated articulation throughout the frame.

One of the model’s most distinctive features is its unique head sculpt, which resembles a traditional Gundam from the front while taking on the appearance of a Gelgoog from the side and a Zeong from the rear.

Current-generation High Grade engineering has been incorporated throughout the kit, including linked knee mechanisms that provide the flexibility needed for a wide range of dynamic action poses.

The large mechanical arms mounted on the backpack feature multiple points of articulation, allowing them to be positioned in a variety of dramatic display configurations.

Its weapon loadout includes a newly designed Buster Cannon mounted on the right shoulder, four Beam Sabers that can be wielded by both the main arms and the mechanical arms, and an EMF Shield equipped with a newly developed deployment gimmick.

The kit can also transform into Hydra Gundam’s distinctive high-speed Mobile Armor form through a newly engineered transformation system that consolidates the legs and waist into a silhouette reminiscent of the Zeong.

Bandai has also included mono-filament wires that allow the Wired Shoulder Claws to be displayed in their remote attack configuration, recreating the mobile suit’s signature psycommu-controlled combat style.

The HG 1/144 Hydra Gundam is available to pre-order now through Premium Bandai US for $63.00, with pre-orders scheduled to close on December 16, 2026, unless available allocations sell out sooner, ahead of its expected January 2027 release.
