Flame Toys Unveils Premium Die-Cast Transformers Skywarp Figure

Flame Toys has opened pre-orders for the latest addition to its premium “Kuro Kara Kuri” die-cast action figure series, bringing the fan-favorite Decepticon Skywarp to collectors in an all-new high-end release.
Transformers debuted in 1984 through a collaboration between Takara and Hasbro, growing into one of the world’s most recognizable entertainment franchises with decades of animated series, comic books, movies, and collectible figures centered around the war between the Autobots and Decepticons.

Skywarp is one of the original Decepticon Seekers, fighting alongside Starscream and Thundercracker while earning a reputation for his unique teleportation abilities, exceptional aerial combat skills, and mischievous personality that often sees him using his powers for surprise attacks or practical jokes.

Like Starscream and Thundercracker before him, Skywarp originally shared the same toy mold in the classic Takara Transformers line, with the three characters distinguished primarily through their different color schemes.

The latest “Kuro Kara Kuri” release recreates Skywarp at approximately 21 cm tall using a zinc alloy die-cast internal frame combined with more than 40 points of articulation for highly dynamic posing.

Its sculpt faithfully captures Skywarp’s distinctive mechanical design with sharply defined panel lines and intricate armor detailing, while premium paint applications recreate his iconic purple, black and gold color scheme.

Integrated LED lighting has been incorporated into the eyes, chest and cockpit, adding extra display presence whether the figure is posed on its own or alongside other Kuro Kara Kuri releases.

Collectors will receive four interchangeable faceplates, six pairs of alternate hands, a pair of Null Ray cannons and multiple interchangeable armor components, including alternate wings and protective armor parts for expanded display options.

Fans who pre-order through participating retailers, including D4 Toys Group direct sales channels, the official SEN-TI-DEN store, the Flame Toys Tmall Official Flagship Store, official Japanese sales channels and select events, will also receive a bonus Rock ‘n Roll mini figure based on Skywarp’s G.I. Joe partner from the IDW Hasbro comic universe.

The bonus figure allows collectors to recreate scenes featuring the unlikely partnership between the two characters.

The Flame Toys “Kuro Kara Kuri” Transformers Skywarp is priced at US$400 (approx. ¥57,600 / £292 GBP), with pre-orders now open via D4 Toys who are offering a special pre-order price of $352.50 (approx. ¥50,700 / £257 GBP).

Shipping is currently scheduled for March 2027.
