Bandai Announces 2026’s Gunpla Kit Re-Release Fan Vote Winner
Bandai Spirits has officially revealed the final results of the Premium Bandai Gunpla General Election 2026, highlighting the most popular kits chosen by fans from a massive lineup of around 750 releases.
The annual event lets builders vote for their favorite Premium Bandai Gunpla kits released through the Hobby Online Shop since 2009, with top-ranked entries often selected for future reissues.
This year saw more than 50,000 participants take part after voting opened on July 1, with each user able to select up to ten kits before the poll closed on July 23.
At the top of the rankings, the MG 1/100 Ex-S Gundam/S Gundam (Task Force Alpha Ver.) secured first place with 6,298 votes, marking its second consecutive win in the poll after it also won in 2025.
The design comes from Gundam Sentinel and allows builders to construct either the heavily armed Ex-S Gundam or the more streamlined S Gundam, making it a standout dual-form Master Grade release.
Second place went to the MG 1/100 Gundam Heavyarms Custom EW with 4,852 votes, and Bandai has confirmed that this Endless Waltz version will be reissued through a made-to-order release.
The kit is known for its heavy firepower loadout including multiple gatling guns and missile systems, along with a bold color scheme that makes it one of the most recognizable Gundam Wing designs.
In third place, the MG 1/100 ν Gundam HWS Ver.Ka earned 4,252 votes, continuing the strong popularity of Amuro Ray’s iconic mobile suit in its heavily armored configuration.
The Heavy Weapon System adds extra armor plating, a larger shield, and increased armament, giving the Ver.Ka ν Gundam a much bulkier and more defensive appearance.
Fourth place was taken by the RG 1/144 Gundam Exia Repair IV with 4,060 votes, showcasing a heavily modified version of the Gundam 00 protagonist mobile suit.
This version replaces much of Exia’s original symmetry with repaired armor and asymmetrical weaponry, creating a more rugged and battle-worn look.
Fifth place went to the MG 1/100 S Gundam Booster Unit Type with 4,044 votes, bringing another Gundam Sentinel entry into the top five.
This configuration removes the standard legs in favor of large booster units, emphasizing high-speed space combat performance and a more experimental silhouette.
Sixth place was awarded to the HG 1/144 Destiny Gundam Spec II [Final Battle Image Color] with 3,216 votes, reflecting continued interest in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom designs.
The kit features a darker color scheme inspired by its final battle appearance along with signature weapons and effect parts for dynamic posing.
Seventh place went to the RG 1/144 ν Gundam HWS with 2,957 votes, offering a more compact Real Grade take on the same heavy weapon system concept as the third place winner.
Eighth place was taken by the RE/100 1/100 Mass Production Bawoo with 2,802 votes, bringing the Neo Zeon transformable mobile suit back into fan attention.
Ninth place went to the MG 1/100 Zeta Gundam Unit 3 P2 Type Red Zeta with 2,791 votes, known for its striking red color scheme and unique equipment loadout.
Tenth place was secured by the HG 1/144 II Neo Zeong (Narrative Ver.) with 2,790 votes, finishing just one vote behind ninth place and proving the continued popularity of large-scale mobile armors.
The rest of the top 20 includes a mix of fan-favorite Master Grade, Real Grade, High Grade, and RE/100 kits spanning multiple Gundam series.
11th place went to MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki Kai with 2,578 votes.
12th place was HG 1/144 Second V with 2,570 votes.
13th place went to MG 1/100 Hi-ν Gundam Ver.Ka HWS Expansion Set with 2,551 votes.
14th place was MG 1/100 Gundam Sandrock Custom EW with 2,486 votes.
15th place went to HG 1/144 Gyan Krieger with 2,476 votes.
16th place was RG 1/144 00 Qan[T] Full Saber with 2,475 votes.
17th place went to HG 1/144 Gundam TR-6 [Haze’n-thley II-Rah] with 2,422 votes.
18th place was MG 1/100 Slash ZAKU Phantom (Yzak Joule Custom) with 2,357 votes.
19th place went to RG 1/144 Destiny Impulse Gundam with 2,233 votes.
20th place was HG 1/144 Graham’s Union Flag Custom II (GN Flag) with 2,217 votes.
