Bandai’s Gunpla Kit Re-Release Fan Vote Officially Returns for 2026

Bandai has announced the return of its annual Gunpla re-release fan vote, which gives fans the opportunity to help decide which exclusive model kits could be brought back for another production run.
The 2026 “Premium Bandai Gunpla General Election 2026” fan vote will determine the best of Premium Bandai Gunpla from a massive lineup of approximately 750 Gunpla kits that have been released solely through Premium Bandai since 2009.

This annual campaign shines a spotlight on the extensive history of Premium Bandai exclusives and allows collectors to vote for the models they most want to see return.
The highest-ranked entries may be selected as official “Gunpla Election Selection” kits, making them eligible for future reissues through Premium Bandai.

While Bandai has not guaranteed that every top-ranked kit will be reproduced, in previous years many of the highest-placing entries have been selected for future re-release.

Last year saw the MG 1/100 Ex-S Gundam/S Gundam (Task Force Alpha Ver.) secure the victory with a commanding lead as it garnered more than double the votes of the runner-up and a re-release of the kit recently opened for pre-orders.

With nearly 750 exclusive Gunpla kits eligible, the campaign spans releases covering a wide variety of Mobile Suit Gundam series that have appeared through Premium Bandai over the past 17 years.
The initiative gives collectors a rare chance to directly influence which Premium Bandai exclusives could return, offering renewed hope for fans who missed previous releases or are looking to complete their collections.

Voting for the Premium Bandai Gunpla Election 2026 is now open and closes at 3:00 PM JST on July 23, 2026, with the final results scheduled to be announced on July 30, 2026.
Fans can vote for up to 10 different Gunpla kits from the eligible lineup, allowing them to support a mixture of personal favorites, hard-to-find releases, and long-requested reprints.

Voting can be submitted through the official election page, although participants must have a registered Premium Bandai account to take part.
Each eligible account may cast a single ballot during the event, with all selections submitted together through the online voting form.
