High School! Kimengumi Anime Ending Receives Music Video Collab by Rikon Densetsu

The official YouTube channel for the musical duo Rikon Densetsu has premiered a collaboration music video featuring the song Suteki!! which translates to So Good! in English.

The track serves as the ending theme for the 2026 anime remake of High School! Kimengumi, a series that originally gained popularity in the 1980s.

Rikon Densetsu, a group formed in 2022 consisting of vocalist Ayumu Matsuda and guitarist Jun Beppu, made their major label debut under Sony Music Labels’ Ariola Japan in 2024.

Suteki!! marks the duo’s second major anime collaboration following their 2024 contribution to the series Ramen Akaneko titled Honjitsu no Osusume.

The physical CD single for the new theme was released in Japan on January 21, 2026, and successfully reached the number 22 spot on the Oricon weekly single charts.

The animated series itself made its debut on Fuji TV’s Noitamina midnight programming block on January 9, 2026.

The show is based on Motoei Shinzawa’s comedy manga series, which began with Sannen Kimengumi in Weekly Shonen Jump from October 1980 to April 1982 before transitioning to the High School! Kimengumi title from April 1982 to July 1987.

This modern 2026 production follows the first television adaptation that aired for 86 episodes between October 1985 and September 1987.

International audiences can currently watch the 2026 anime on the It’s Anime YouTube channel through the streaming service REMOW.

The story follows transfer student Yui Kawa at Ichio Junior High as she encounters the eccentric Kimengumi group led by Rei Ichido.
