Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Details New PC Version Features

Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Kojima Productions have announced that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will officially launch for PC on March 19, 2026.

The PC release will be available via both Steam and the Epic Games Store, expanding the reach of the sequel following its initial launch on PlayStation 5.

Players in this standalone sequel take on the role of Sam as he travels across Mexico and Australia to expand the Chiral network and prevent human extinction.

The PC version introduces a new “to the wilder” mode that offers a high level of difficulty for players seeking to test their skills in dangerous environments.

New gameplay features include the “Trapped in a Strange Realm” VR training area, where players can earn new fieldware such as bandanas.

The update also adds the Chiral Feline to the DHV Magellan private room and includes the creature as a new addition to the in-game Photo Mode.

PlayStation 5 players will receive all of these new content additions at the same time as the PC launch on March 19, 2026.

Technical enhancements for the PC version include support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS to provide improved upscaling and frame generation.

High-end PC users can enable ray-traced reflections on water and tar as well as ray-traced ambient occlusion for more realistic lighting and shadows.

The game supports super-ultrawide 32:9 monitors for gameplay and includes full DualSense controller integration with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
