June Premiere Confirmed for New Sgt. Frog Movie

The upcoming feature film for the Sgt Frog franchise is officially scheduled for release in Japan on June 26, 2026.
The movie is titled Shin Gekijoban Keroro Gunsou: Fukkatsushite Sokkou Chikyu Metsubou no Kiki de Arimasu!, which translates to New Theatrical Movie Sgt Frog: Upon Revival, Immediately Facing the Threat of Earth’s Destruction!.
This cinematic project serves as a centerpiece for the 20th anniversary celebration of the anime series.

The production team introduced two new original characters named Aruu and Deruru during a stage event at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 29, 2026, with full details and visuals for the characters to be released shortly.
Yuichi Fukuda acts as the general director and screenwriter for the film, following his work on live action adaptations like Gintama and Under Ninja.
Fumitoshi Oizaki, a veteran of the franchise since 2004, is directing the film alongside character designer Satoshi Koike.
Animation production is being handled by BN Pictures, while the five primary voice cast members will return to their respective roles.
The plot follows the Keroro Platoon as they abandon their lazy lifestyle to investigate mysterious symbols and bizarre phenomena occurring across Japan.
The original manga by Mine Yoshizaki has been serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace since 1999 and reached its 35th volume on December 26, 2025.
Fans can currently stream all 357 episodes of the original TV anime adaptation on Crunchyroll via Discotek Media.
