Barbie Rewind Announced for Multiple Platforms Including PS5, Switch 2, and PC

Publisher Atari and developer Digital Eclipse have officially announced Barbie Rewind, a new title that combines modern design gameplay with a massive library of 16 classic video games.

The collection is scheduled for release in 2026 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.

Players will be able to explore a creative world where they can customize the iconic Barbie DreamHouse using over 250 pieces of furniture and decor inspired by real playsets from the last 65 years.

To unlock various items and accessories, users must complete specific achievements within a curated selection of titles originally released during the 1990s and 2000s.

The featured 16 classic games include popular entries such as Barbie Pet Rescue for GameBoy Color and Barbie Horse Adventures: Blue Ribbon Race for GameBoy Advance.

In a notable addition for historians and fans, the collection will also include the previously unreleased title Barbie: Vacation Adventure, which was originally developed for the Sega Genesis and SNES.

Digital versions will be supported by physical editions for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, including a special Deluxe Edition exclusive to the Switch console.

Pre-orders for the project opened on June 6, 2026, following the release of an announcement trailer.
