Bandai Spirits has officially announced the start of pre-orders for a new limited-edition model kit featuring one of the most popular mobile suits from Gundam Wing.

The “MG 1/100 Gundam Sandrock EW (Armadillo Lizard Equipment)” is a specialized variant hailing from the manga New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz – Glory of the Losers.

GLORY OF THE LOSERS

This manga retelling of the classic anime series introduces various new equipment and story elements, which are now being realized in high-quality Master Grade form.

The mobile suit, piloted by the gentle yet determined Quatre Raberba Winner, is updated with significant new defensive and offensive capabilities.

The kit’s defining feature is the “Armadillo Lizard” unit, a heavy armor system that attaches to the mobile suit’s shoulders.

This additional equipment is recreated with entirely new sculpting to match the intricate detail and mechanical density expected of the MG line.

The missile pods integrated into the armor feature movable hatches, allowing builders to display the unit in a full firing state.

Bandai has ensured that even the warheads inside the pods are reproduced using separate colored plastic parts for maximum realism without painting.

The shield arms connecting the armor are designed with multiple articulation points, offering flexible movement for dynamic posing.

A built-in locking mechanism helps fix the heavy armor at specific angles, ensuring stability when displayed on a shelf alongside other Endless Waltz units.

In addition to the new equipment, the kit includes Sandrock’s signature weaponry, such as the heat-generating Heat Shotels and a Beam Machine Gun.

To complete the military aesthetic, the package comes with water-transfer decals designed by renowned mechanical designer Hajime Katoki.

This release is part of a broader wave of Gundam merchandise hitting the market in early 2026, targeting various niches within the fandom.

Bandai Spirits also recently revealed the “HG 1/144 Geara Doga (Heavy Armed Specification),” which will be sold exclusively at the Gundam Side-F facility in Fukuoka.

That kit focuses on the Universal Century timeline, offering a contrast to the After Colony timeline featured in this new Gundam Wing release.

Beyond plastic models, the franchise is expanding into lifestyle goods, as seen with the recent “Strict-G” collaboration featuring silver rings based on Iron-Blooded Orphans.

The franchise also continues to cross over with other pop culture icons, as seen in a new line of plush toys and figures featuring Hatsune Miku in mobile suit cosplay.

These varied releases demonstrate Bandai’s commitment to catering to all facets of the Gundam fandom, from hardcore builders to casual collectors.

The “MG 1/100 Gundam Sandrock EW (Armadillo Lizard Equipment)” is priced at 6,820 yen (approx. $45.00 USD / £35.00 GBP).
