Bandai Fully Unveils New Transforming GQuuuuuuX Gunpla Kit Ahead of Release

A new addition to the growing Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX model kit lineup has been revealed, giving Gunpla builders another unique machine from the hit anime series to add to their collections.
BANDAI SPIRITS has shared new product images for the upcoming “HG 1/144 Hambrabi (GQ),” showcasing the transformable mobile suit in greater detail ahead of its release.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX introduced a number of reimagined mobile suits and characters to the Gundam franchise, presenting an alternate interpretation of the Universal Century timeline.

Among the machines appearing in the series is the Hambrabi, a transformable mobile suit piloted by Gates Capa.

First announced in October 2025, the “HG 1/144 Hambrabi (GQ)” recreates the mobile suit in High Grade form and includes a feature that was never seen on screen during the anime’s run.

While the mobile armor configuration did not appear in the series itself, the kit has been engineered to transform into its MA mode, giving builders the opportunity to display the machine in either form.

According to information released alongside the kit, the transformation was made possible through newly created setting artwork produced specifically for the model project.

The kit also includes the mobile suit’s “Fedayeen Rifle” and “Sea Serpent” weapons as part of the standard accessory loadout.

The Sea Serpent can be displayed in its launched state through the use of an included lead wire, allowing fans to recreate its deployment effect.

Developers reportedly worked closely with the anime production staff when creating the weapon designs, resulting in equipment specifically envisioned as fitting within the unique continuity and aesthetic of the GQuuuuuuX universe.

Bandai has also revealed the box art for the new Gunpla kit, which shows off all of the forms that builders can look forward to recreating.

The “HG 1/144 Hambrabi (GQ)” is scheduled to launch via general hobby goods retailers on June 26, 2026, and will be priced at ¥2,860 (approx. $19 USD/ £14 GBP).
