Gundam SEED’s Massive Providence Gundam Premium Figure Returns to the US for Premium Bandai Week 2026

Bandai has brought one of Gundam SEED’s best premium figures back to the US, with an exclusive Providence Gundam release returning as part of a major limited-time promotional event.
The “METAL BUILD PROVIDENCE GUNDAM CLIMAX BATTLE Ver.” joins a large selection of exclusive Gunpla kits, figures, and other collectibles returning for Premium Bandai Week 2026, which also offers a temporary reduction to the usual free-shipping threshold.

Providence Gundam is the final Mobile Suit piloted by Rau Le Creuset in the original Mobile Suit Gundam SEED anime, facing Kira Yamato’s Freedom Gundam during the series’ climactic battle.

The imposing machine is best known for its powerful DRAGOON system, which uses eleven remotely controlled weapon pods to surround opponents and launch devastating beam attacks from multiple directions.

Bandai originally developed the “METAL BUILD PROVIDENCE GUNDAM CLIMAX BATTLE Ver.” as a commemorative release for TAMASHII NATION 2025, where it was offered through limited sales and lottery-based purchasing opportunities in Japan.
The figure retains the detailed sculpt and coloring of the earlier METAL BUILD Providence Gundam, with its biggest addition being a newly developed turret-style support system designed to recreate the deployment of its DRAGOON weapons.

The elaborate display assembly allows all eleven DRAGOON units to be suspended around the Mobile Suit in different positions, recreating the overwhelming attacks seen during Providence’s final battle against Freedom Gundam.

The included supports can be arranged to position the individual weapons around the figure, with effect parts allowing collectors to recreate their beam attacks.

Bandai has also changed the main display base to black for this edition, with the newly developed turret supports joining the original DRAGOON display components to provide additional posing options.
The figure itself stands approximately 19.5 cm tall, with its total display dimensions extending to around 33.5 cm when the DRAGOON equipment is included.

Its construction combines ABS and PVC with die-cast metal components, alongside detailed mechanical surfaces, articulated joints, and the distinctive large circular DRAGOON backpack that dominates Providence Gundam’s appearance.
The figure also includes the oversized MA-M221 Judicium Beam Rifle and the Composite Armed Shield System, which combines a defensive shield with a large beam saber and integrated beam guns.

Three pairs of interchangeable hands are provided alongside the weapon effects and dedicated display equipment, allowing Providence to be posed with its handheld weapons or surrounded by its deployed DRAGOON units.
Other Gundam SEED releases have also revisited Providence Gundam, including the exclusive “MG 1/100 Providence Gundam [Special Coating]” Gunpla kit, which received another Japanese pre-order run in 2025.

That deluxe Master Grade kit features specially treated armor with metallic finishes, along with an extensive selection of DRAGOON effect parts designed to recreate the Mobile Suit’s remote weapon attacks.

Providence’s successor, the Legend Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, also received a renewed “HG 1/144 Legend Gundam” kit in January 2026, introducing updated articulation and an improved backpack capable of recreating its own DRAGOON attacks.

Premium Bandai Week 2026 runs from October 8 at 10:00 AM EDT until October 13 at 11:59 PM EDT, with registered Premium Bandai US members able to qualify for free shipping on eligible orders of $50 or more instead of the usual $100 minimum when using the no-signature-required shipping option.

The “METAL BUILD PROVIDENCE GUNDAM CLIMAX BATTLE Ver.” has been specifically restocked for the event and is available for immediate purchase through Premium Bandai US for $500, although quantities are limited and the figure may sell out before the promotion ends.
