Soothing new Hatsune Miku candy will protect your vocal chords

Hatsune Miku will be teaming up with one of Japan’s top candy companies to launch an exclusive version of their popular “Voice Care” throat lozenges.
Kanro is a Japanese confectionery company known for hugely popular candy treats like Kanro Ame and Pure Gummy.

As part of the collaboration, their “Voice Care Throat Lozenges” will soon be available in limited-edition packaging featuring the iconic virtual singer, Hatsune Miku.
Hatsune Miku is no stranger to collaborations with big brands and has recently seen official underwear released as well as crossover merchandise with Sanrio’s My Melody and Kuromi.
This latest collaboration has been timed so that stock arrives in stores across Japan just before “Miku Day” (March 9th), and its launch also will be accompanied by a music video inspired by the collab.
Hatsune Miku has grown from a simple vocal synthesizer to become a global phenomenon and her widespread popularity makes her the perfect ambassador for Kanro’s Voice Care throat lozenges, which are intended to soothe and protect the vocal cords.

Kanro’s Voice Care Throat Lozenges were first launched in 2010 and were created through extensive research and feedback from vocal students and professors at the Vocal Music Department of Kunitachi College of Music.
The carefully selected ingredients include seven throat-friendly herbs and propolis, a natural resin known for its soothing properties.
The lozenges offer a balanced blend of menthol and herbal extracts to provide a refreshing and effective solution for vocal care.
The Hatsune Miku collaboration will feature four distinct packaging designs:

Original artwork for the collab has been created by renowned illustrator Susumu Maeya, whose manga “The Maid Just Eats” is currently serialized in Kodansha’s COMIC DAYS.
Maeya’s illustrations capture the essence of Hatsune Miku, incorporating elements inspired by the lozenges’ herbal ingredients and the visual representation of sound volume.

Voice Care lozenges in the new Hatsune Miku packaging will start appearing in convenience stores and supermarkets across Japan from Tuesday, March 4th 2025.
Each pack has an RRP of 162 yen (approx. $1.08 USD / £0.82 GBP) but actual sale price may vary between stores in Japan.
Orders placed through 3rd party retailers located outside of Japan should be expected to cost significantly more.
To celebrate the collaboration, a music video titled “Find your voice by Satsuki feat. Hatsune Miku” will premiere on the Hatsune Miku official YouTube channel and the Voice Care Throat Lozenges campaign website on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM (Japan Time).

The theme song has been produced by popular Vocaloid producer Satsuki, and the music video has been created by up-and-coming creator nApio.
With Hatsune Miku’s popularity at an all time high, some stores may sell out of the limited edition packaging quickly, so you’ll need to be quick to get your hands on this limited edition candy.
