Zelda fans will need this new Breath of the Wild themed Switch controller

Fans of the Zelda RPG series will soon be able to pick up a new Nintendo Switch controller based on one of the franchise’s most recent games.
PowerA, a prominent gaming accessory manufacturer, is set to launch the “Lumectra Enhanced Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch – The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening” on June 27th.

This new controller is a collaboration with Nintendo’s widely acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, integrating visual elements from the game into its design and functionality.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, released for the Nintendo Switch, redefined open-world gaming and became a landmark title in the long-running Zelda franchise.
The game is known for its expansive Hyrule landscape and ancient Sheikah technology, including the mysterious shrines scattered across its world, these elements now inspire the controller’s aesthetic.
A key feature of this new controller is its “Ghost RGB LED lighting function.”
This technology allows familiar patterns from the in-game shrines to illuminate and emerge from the controller’s surface when in a dark environment.

Players can customize this lighting with four different modes and select between two iconic colors from the game: blue and orange, reminiscent of the Sheikah Slate and Guardian technology.

The controller includes practical enhancements for gameplay and it features Advanced Gaming Buttons on the rear, which can be custom-assigned to any preferred button operation, offering additional control options.

The controller also supports motion controls (accelerometer and gyroscope) for games that utilize these features.

PowerA states the controller’s battery provides up to 10 hours of use on a single charge.
It also incorporates anti-friction rings for smoother, more comfortable stick operation and comes with a 3-meter USB-C charging cable.
The “Lumectra Enhanced Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch – The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening” will be available for ¥8,800 (tax included).
Pre-orders are now being accepted ahead of the controller’s release on the 27th of June through a number of outlets, including Amazon Japan and Bic Camera.
