The original story was created by Bakufu Narayama and features illustrations by the artist Ebisushi.
Narayama first began serializing the title on the self-publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou in November 2020.
The Japanese publisher TO BOOKS took over the series for print and digital distribution starting in September 2021.
The tenth volume of the light novel is scheduled for release on April 1, 2026.
A manga adaptation of the series illustrated by Rat Kitaguni has been running on the Corona EX website since May 2020.
The eighth volume of the manga is also set to launch on April 1, 2026, coinciding with the latest novel release.
The franchise has reached a significant milestone with over two million copies in circulation across both print and digital formats.
The property previously expanded into other media with a stage play adaptation performed at the CBGK!! theater in Tokyo during March 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment handles the English language publication for both the novel and manga versions.
