Sweet New Hello Kitty Apple Pie Collab Includes Limited Edition Merch
Japanese custard apple pie specialty store RINGO has announced a brand-new collaboration with Sanrio’s iconic character Hello Kitty.
The crossover marks the very first time the two brands have partnered for a promotional campaign and features a mix of exclusive merchandise alongside the bakery’s signature apple-based sweets.
The RINGO brand is famous for its high-quality ingredients, specifically the smooth custard cream and diced apples baked into crispy pie crusts.
Hello Kitty is a global pop culture phenomenon created by Sanrio, recognized worldwide for her signature red bow and her immense contribution to the Japanese “kawaii” aesthetic.
The collaborative baked goods consist of a Freshly Baked Custard Apple Pie, a Freshly Baked Open Pie, and a Freshly Made Mille-feuille, all featuring special Hello Kitty touches:

RINGO’s most popular original pie receives a cute upgrade with a special chocolate medal topping featuring the Sanrio character.

Inspired by the character’s origins in the suburbs of London, England, this pie features chunky candied apples and fragrant Earl Grey custard cream to simulate a relaxing tea time.

This playful pastry combines crispy pie layers and smooth custard, finished with a special chocolate shaped like Hello Kitty’s iconic ribbon.

The first wave of merchandise, which includes the Pouch Set, the Cooler Bag Set, and the Financier Tin, officially launched in stores on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
The second wave, which introduces the Mini Plate Set, is scheduled to hit store shelves on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
Physical purchases for the merchandise sets that come with the Hello Kitty themed pastries are restricted to permanent RINGO store locations across Japan.
The Financier Tin will also be available at specific BAKE the SHOP locations in Jiyugaoka and Matsuzakaya Shizuoka, with a strict limit of four tins per customer per transaction.
Online sales for the Financier Tin will open via the BAKE the ONLINE storefront beginning on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with no purchase limits applied.
